Last night was pretty rough, but I didn't want Matt to know anything happened. I covered my puffy eyes with a shit ton of expensive concealer and then caked that with make up and put on my happy face.

Today Matt and I were going to hang out with his friends. He invited me to come with him and I was hesitant at first, but then he told me I had to go with him because moms orders.

I showered, blow dried and straightened my hair, did my make up nicely, and got dressed. I wore a cute outfit and sprayed some perfume, put on some lotion, grabbed my phone and purse, and went down to the living room.

"Who's house are we going to again?" I asked Matt, sitting next to him on the couch.

"My friend Cameron's apartment. All my friends are gonna be there though. You'll love them, I promise."

I began to get nervous. Why did I even agree to this? An apartment full of guys and one small girl? This can't go well, it never does. Okay I need to calm down. No need to have a panic attack on Matts second day here.

"Hey," I looked up at him. "You'll be okay Melody, I promise. They would never do anything to you and I would never let them."

I nodded and softly smiled. "Thanks Matt."

"Anytime. Now c'mon it's a little bit of a drive."

"How long?" I asked.

"About half an hour." I nodded and we got in Matt's car, heading to his friends apartment.

I took the "aux cord" of course, actually I just synced my phone with Bluetooth, and played some Travis Scott.

------

"MAAAAATT!" All the guys yelled, circling him and hugging him. That left me alone behind all of them. Once they had their little reunion, which I just stood and awkwardly watched, someone finally realized I was there.

"Uh, why's there a girl here?" One guy asked. Everyone then turned to me and I turned bright red.

"This is Melody. She's my..." He trailed off, realizing I didn't want them to know he was my babysitter.

"Friend. Childhood friends actually. Hi I'm Melody and I have no clue who any of you are." I managed to blurt out as my anxiety began to eat me up.

"I'm Cameron." Oh so this is HIS apartment.

"Jack."

"Also Jack."

"Aaron."

"Taylor."

"Carter."

"You look a little young, how old are you?" Aaron I think, asked.

"16, almost 17." I answered.

"Damn" Cameron said, making the other guys laugh.

"Too young for you bro." One of the Jacks said, slapping Cameron's chest jokingly.

We all talked and I began to feel a little bit more comfortable. We sat down in the living room and everyone did their own thing basically.

"That necklace is pretty cool." Cameron said, looking at my necklace. I smiled widely, knowing it was the necklace my dad gave to me. It was one of my favorite things in this entire world. I was about to thank him when Carter spoke instead.

"Nah it's kinda tacky." He said, taking me by surprise. "It's like big and ugly." He doesn't even know me and that was pretty rude.

But instead of beating the crap out of him, I just faked a laugh. "I know right. But thanks Cameron."

It honestly broke my heart to hear him insult my necklace. It was as if he'd insulted my dad. He didn't, but that's what it felt like. I take things so personal.

Everyone went back to talking and I felt like I was gonna cry. I had to get out of here. And I had to get out of here NOW.

"Where's the bathroom?" I asked.

"Down that hallway to the right." Cameron answered. I thanked him and made my way to the bathroom.

I shut the door, locking it behind me. As soon as I did, the tears came faster and harder than a water fall. I slid down the wall, sitting against the wall. I brought my knees to my chest and cried into them. I thought about my dad, I thought about Willow, I thought about the fact that my mom left me on Christmas with a stranger, I thought about everything.

I know I may seem over dramatic, I know I may seem like such a teenager, but just know that the pain I feel, I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy.

I spent about 15 minutes crying before I realized it'd been awhile. I stood up and looked in the mirror, wiping under my eyes and making sure I looked like I hadn't just cried.

I walked out of the bathroom and went to where the boys were, plastering a smile on my face.

"We're all gonna go out to lunch, wanna come?"

"Yeah, sure." I replied. Great, another 2 hours with them. Just wonderful.

The guys were all famous apparently, because we got mobbed outside, twice, and we got special treatment at the restaurant.

"I've never been so glad to be home." I said with a happy sigh, collapsing onto the couch.

"So, anything you wanna do now?" Matt asked. I looked at the time on my phone; 4:36.

"I'm actually pretty tired. I'm gonna take a nap." I got up off the couch and made my way upstairs.

"Alrighty then." Matt laughed.

I put on some comfy clothes and fell onto my bed, plugging my phone into the charger and almost instantly falling asleep.
