I wrote it in 3 months while attending community college
The idea came while washing dishes
Almost half of it was originally written on my iPod
Each chapter was written without an outline, it was free flowing and almost made up as I went along
I had originally meant for Daniels or Chase's dad to be Unknown, but when the comments figured both of them out, I had to switch the identity of Unknown mid-story. Then Hunter became Unknown through the course of the story. You guys, the readers, actually dictated who Unknown would be with your comments!
Some of the misc information in "You've Been Tagged" is real in regards to my life
The name "Chase" was inspired by the character Chase in the show 24
Juliet originally appeared as a minor character, but then towards the ending I increased her role due to the love from you guys, the readers
I had three editors read complete manuscripts at different times
"Fahlstown" was inspired by the last name of one of my friends
Chase's birthday was supposed to play a bigger role in the storyline, but I couldn't mix it with the overal plot in a reasonable way
Writing from the view of Unknown, as the figure, was my favorite part of writing
Having the Chief be a woman, Kristen Myrene, was inspired from the Chief in the show Psych
The date of September 9th and 10th were chosen for the potential addition of a 9/11 subplot, but I abandonded that for the more personal plot
The name "Britt Ryland" was one of my favorite names, so I continued to use it in my other book, "The Dreamer"
