Right, so this is my OC for TheOtakuNerd's 6th Art Contest, I hope you like it! :)
I'm not an expert on writing backgrounds and character details, but here goes.
My character's name is Kasumi (I know, unoriginal because I'm really bad at naming XD) who's in her late teen years, and possesses the gift of controlling and manipulating water in any form to her will.
She's also able to summon a water dragon spirit named Kai which aids her in combat, as well as being able to breath underwater.
Personality wise, she has a picture of elegance, but also a hint of mischief within her. She's compassionate and selfless, willing to put others' needs before hers.
Although her sensitivity causes her to be a little emotional sometimes, she still keeps her ground and stands strong.
A tragic accident at sea takes the lives of Kasumi's parents, when a wave capsizes their ship and causes a young Kasumi to be thrown into the water.
Her life is placed on the line and almost snuffed out, when Kai the water dragon saves her from drowning, gifting her with the power of water in the process.
She soon becomes a loyal guardian of the Kingdom of the Crystal Waters, given the task to protect the sacred Enchanted Water Crystal from any harm, the source of the ocean's magic and power, which keeps everything and everyone in balance.
Like I said, I know my background story-writing skills aren't exactly top notch, but I still hope it's acceptable! XD
