"Priscilla! Come here!" Father shouts. Only a minute later, a young woman, about 25, comes running the stairs. "Yes, my Lord?" She says. "Go dress my daughter and her female friends properly for the ball this evening please." Father commands of her. "Would you like me to have Jezabell do their hair and makeup, my Lord?" "Yes. Let me call her. Jezabell!" Father shouts and a young woman about twenty-five comes down the stairs. "You called, my Lord?" She says. "Yes, I did. I need you to do my daughter's and friend's hair and makeup for the ball tonight." Father says. "Would you like Princess Estelle to wear a tiara tonight?" She asks Father. "Yes." He says. We follow Priscilla and Jezabell up the stairs and back into my room. "Estelle, you follow me into the closest." Priscilla says, opening the closet door and heading straight for the row of gowns. "Can I try on the violet gown with all the gold embroidery?" I say, while Priscilla takes me out of my casual style dress. "Your shoes are perfect for this dress." She says, pointing to my gold stilettos. "Now let's get you in that beautiful gown." She says, helping me with my dress. Then she signals for Roz to follow her in the closet. Jezabell sits me down and gets to town on my hair while Jackie works on my makeup. When Jezabell is done, she places a beautiful tiara on my head. After Roz is all dressed up, we walk towards the stairs. We are met by Amethyst and Regina. Amethyst is wearing a beautiful red satin gown with a gold ribbon around the waist and her hair is put in a loose up do with a small gold tiara. "You look beautiful, Essie!" Regina says, looking adorable in the navy gown with silver embroidery and her black hair put up in a braided bun. "Thank you, Regina." I say, taking her hand and lining up in front of James, who is looking dapper in his uniform. My mother is looking lovely in her real gown with white embroidery. Father is wearing a uniform identical to James's. Preston is wearing a suit and tie with his hair slicked back. "We're going to line up in order of call. So Preston, you are walking down with both Amethyst and Regina on your arms. James and Estelle, you two are going to wait up here. Jacqueline and Rozaline, you hold hands. Queen Arisstelle and King Arthur, good." Hans says. We all line up, while Hans brings two people up stairs for our date. The young man who is my date name's is Joseph. "I'm the Duke of Roswindon's son. I was wondering if after the ball tonight, you would like to join me for dinner at my family's castle." He says. "I'd love to. When would you like to have me for dinner?" I reply, feeling my face get hot. "Alright, get ready." I hear Hans say. "Please welcome the King and Queen of Pristonia!" The crowd applauds as Mother and Father walk gracefully down the grand central staircase. "Please welcome her majesty, Princess Estelle and Lord Joseph of Roswindon! Followed by Estelle's American ladies-in-waiting, Rosaline and Jacqueline." We walk down the stairs and Roz and Jackie are carrying my train. "Please welcome the young Prince of Pristonia, James and Lady Anastasia of Roswindon" James and Anastasia walk down the stairs the stairs and lastly Preston, Regina, and Amethyst are called. "Lastly, please welcome Sir Preston Grets and the young royal princesses, Amethyst and Regina!" They walk down the stairs and then the music starts. I walk out on the dance floor with Joseph, who pulls me in for a dance. My ballroom dancing memories come flowing back and Joseph and I perform a beautiful foxtrot. When we finish, the entire room erupts in applause. "You are an amazing dancer, Estelle. Where did you learn to dance like that?" Joseph asks, the shock evident in his face. "I learned from my dance instructor in America." I say. We walk out to the courtyard and sit on the rim of the fountain. We talk for hours. When Roz and Jackie come retrieve me, I introduce them as "Rosaline and Jacqueline, my best friends." He gets collected by his father and we head to my room. "So what did you and Joseph talk about?" Roz asks, changing into her pajamas. "We talked about going on a date at his parents' castle on Saturday." Preston comes in and says, "You guys wanna watch a movie?" "Sure, how about Tangled?" "Yeah." When Amethyst and Regina hear "When will my life begin?", they come running in my room and jump on my bed. They snuggle up between Preston, Jackie, and I and watch the movie. Around ten o'clock, mama and Dad come put Amethyst and Regina to bed. Before he takes Regina to bed, he says that my adopted mom is going to be my tutor, my adopted brother is going to be knighted by James and my father is going to be given a castle and lordship.
