It seemed like everyone was keeping a secret from me. When Priscilla and Jeza were helping me get ready, they chose my best everything from my dress to my hair to my shoes. "'Cilla, why am I getting so dressed up tonight?" I ask as she tightens the corset back of my burgundy gown. "You'll see at the ball." She says, tying the corset ribbons. She sets my glittery white heels in front of and helps me into them. After Jez does my hair and makeup, 'Cilla puts on my white gold jewelry set, which includes a tiara, necklace and earrings. My father comes in and says "Are you ready, Essie?" "Yeah." I say as he takes my hand and helps me out of the chair and down the stairs to the limo. It's about an hour ride to the von Furstenburg castle, but our driver makes in 30 minutes. When I get out of the limo, my name is announced as I walk towards Joseph. He takes my hand and directs me to the table where his parents are seated. "Hello Estelle. You look gorgeous this evening." Joseph's younger brother, Johan says, sitting in the chair two chairs down from mine. When Joseph returns to his seat, dinner begins. We eat a delicious meal of escargo, steak, asparagus, sparkling cider, and crepes. After dinner, Joseph leads me out to the dance floor and the whole room falls quiet. I turn around and see him down on one knee. He takes my hand and says, "Estelle, I have loved you since the day I met you and I wanted to know if you would do me the honor of being my wife. Will you marry me?" I immediately say yes. The entire room cheers as he slips the ring on my ring finger.
After a couple amazing hours, we go home.
