So my name is Estelle and all my life, I've looked different than my family. I've always put it off as nothing until my genetics teacher asked me to do a project on adoption. She also encouraged me to ask my mom if I was adopted. So last night, I asked her and Dad if I was adopted. "Yes, baby. You were. Your mother was having a lot trouble conceiving a baby, so I went searching for the perfect baby. I searched through every single state, went q on a tour through the castle and the queen saw you and asked if she could hold you. After the tour, we hopped on a plane and came home." Dad said, picking my little brother, Brady up, and carrying him to bed. A little while later, I getting ready for bed and Dad comes in and says, "Hurry up and put a bra on. A man is at the door who wants to speak to you. On second thought, put a nice dress on." I wait for him to exit then I put on my favorite dress, a regal red number with cap sleeves. I walk down the hall and arrive at the stairwell. At the bottom, an older gentleman awaits. He takes my hand and walks me to my couch. "Okay. So now that I'm done here, why are you here at this hour?" I ask. "My name is Hans Shadler. I'm the Prime minister's assistant of Pristonia. Am I correct to assume that you are "Ms. Estelle Lucas"." "Yes, you are." "And you were adopted from the orphanage in Hallodin, when you were six months of age under the last name of Oscarvich, correct?" "Yes, she was." Mom answered for me. "Am I allowed to escort Estelle to Pristonia to get a paternity test done?" "As long as one of her guardians is allowed to come with her, yes." Hans follows me up to my bedroom and helps me pack my suitcase. "You need enough clothes to last you two weeks if the test comes back positive." By 11:30 pm, Hans and I have packed a suitcase and a carryon full of the following:
14 blouses
14 skirts
7 dresses
7 pairs of flats
7 pairs of heels
My earring box
AND
Some of my necklaces.
My travel outfit is a pink and gray baseball tee, my dark blue skinny jeans, my white converse with tye dye laces and my black "hipster" glasses. After packing, I show Hans to the guest room, then go back to my bedroom, slip back into my nightgown and hit the hay.
