Humans.
I see them with joy and fun in their eyes, I always thought they we're scary and as father always said that they're laughing to attract mermaids, he said humans were dangerous....

I saw a boy today looking at the water as if he was looking at me , but I know he can't see me because I realize he's looking at the rock near me.

The way he looked wasn't so dangerous for me,

I didn't realize that I was getting nearer until he widened his eyes,

He spoke "Wow, you have such pretty eyes!" He giggled

"You're such a good swimmer" he added

"Come here" he motioned his hands

I didn't speak and turned away but I glanced at his energetic smile that I couldn't resist

I went beside him and I thought he would get shocked but instead he just said

"You have a tail! That's so cool well I wish I was born most of the other people and my classmates though have feet" he pointed at my tail

There was a moment of silence

"Wait, you're no human, you are a mermaid! Like the one in Peter Pan" he was on a thinking position and then suddenly he clapped his hands one time

"Why are you not saying anything? , I thought mermaids can talk" he scratch his head

"I can" I said with a low voice

"Woah your voice is amazing" his smile became wider and brighter

"That's enough compliments" I said in a bratty way and look, his smile was slowly fading " Cuz it's your turn to be complimented!" I winked "Your hair color is so different from other humans, it's so good it has yellow and light, dark brown and normal brown" I pointed at his hair

"Thanks" he touched his head and then looked away

"What's your name?" I asked him, he is so interesting ..... In a way, he's not violent or dangerous he's... So nice

"Umm my name is Nathan Evan Hudson" said without a tone with a poker face

"I'll call you Nathan" I pointed at him

"But people call me Evan" he pointed his two little thumbs to himself

"I want to be the only one to call you Ethan" I put my hands together and then grinned

"Ohhhh," he then looked down and kicked the water

"Do Not tell anyone except your parents that you saw me okay?" I furrowed my eyebrows at him

"Yes..... What is your name?" He looked at me for a moment then he spoke

"Coralia Floralia Jewel" I offered my hand, "You can call me Lia"I added ,I smiled at him then we shook hands

"Ok, wait it's time for dinner , Good bye Mer-Lia" he rushed to his house

"Let's meet tomorrow ok? Same place and time!" I shouted and waved

"Next time you'll come , let us race" I tried to become competitive

"I will promise that I will see you no matter what and I will learn how to swim" he tried to genuinely smile
