Helping Perrie (A Jerrie Fanfic)- Chapter 1

(Jade's POV)

It was a normal work day for the girls and me. We just finished an interview for a magazine that focuses a lot on relationships and boys. I didn't really have much to say, since I'm not in a relationship myself at the moment. The only thing out of the ordinary was that when Perrie was asked how things are with her boyfriend, Ryan, she just responded with "Fine. Everything's going okay". The other girls and I looked at each other with suspicion for a moment. Usually she had a lot to say about him, but for some reason, she didn't have much to say today. I silently decided to myself that I would check up on Perrie later today when just the two of us Geordies got together for a sleepover.

I heard a knock on my hotel room door. That must be Perrie, I thought to myself. I got up off the couch from where I had been watching tv and opened the door. There she was, my best friend, wearing her favorite oversized t-shirt and pajama pants. Even when in loungewear or her pajamas, she looked beautiful. Wait. Why did I call her beautiful in my head? Anyways... she was carrying a duffel bag and a few bags of candy. "Hey Perrie! Come on in!" I told her, as I took the bags from her to put away in the kitchen. This was our normal routine whenever we were staying in hotels. One of us would invite the other over to her room for a sleepover to pig out on junk food, talk, watch a movie, and laugh all night.

We were in the kitchen, casually talking while waiting for the popcorn to finish popping. I remembered that I wanted to ask her about Ryan, but it'd probably be best to wait till we sat down. After the popcorn was done, we relocated to the front of the tv to lay on the couch together. "So what do you want to watch?" Perrie asked me. "Um... well I'm thinking that... well I actually wanted to ask you about something." "Uh sure what is it Jadey?" she asked with her brows furrowed. "Well today at the interview when the woman asked you about Ryan, you acted a little differently than usual. Is everything alright between you two?" She looked down at her hands and said, "Yeah everything's pretty good." I noticed that her eyes got a little teary as she told me this. I didn't believe what she was telling me. I took her hand and said "Perrie please, I'm your best friend. You can tell me anything." She looked up at me as a tear rolled down her cheek. "R-Ryan's been cheating on m-me."
