"She was accompanying beside him. He held her hand firmly. It was dark, and she could smell orchids. But she was not able to see anything. Suddenly she noticed that he was gone. And her locket was shattered into pieces."
Alina's Pov
"Wake up sweety!! Otherwise, you will get late," my mom said to me. I touched my locket. Just to make sure that it was just a dream. It was that same dream again. I was not able to see him again.
"Hi, mom!"
"Hi!! Get ready I am waiting downstairs," she said and left.
I finally got up and went to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror. I should not think much about that stupid dream. So this was my dream day for which I have worked so hard for. Finally, I have been enrolled in the best university in California. The Wescott University. I took a shower and got myself ready.
I hugged her tight and a tear escaped, which I was holding back "mom I am going to miss you."
"I will miss you, sweetie!! Just enjoy yourself and make lots of friends. I want you to have fun too. Enough of studying all the time. You need to learn other stuff too, for example, making boyfriend," she said and winked at me. I made a face and said " mom you know how I am. There is going to be nothing like that."
"Goodbye sweety! I love you so."
"Goodbye mum and love you too"
I hugged her one last time. I waved at her as I took the main road. I spilled some more tears which I was holding back.
How on earth I am going to live my life without her? I have never been to parties and other stuff. Instead, I like to be with my mom and spend time with her.
Common Alina, you can do this.
It is approximately a 4-hour drive. So I switched on to listen to songs.
I pulled up near Wescott's driveway
And took my luggage to reception.
There was a lady there. She gave me a smile and asked my name. I replied,."Alina Cunningham" she handed my keys to my dorm and my schedule.
I went to my dorm and unlocked it.
It was just like the size of my room.
It was almost perfect. There was a window from which the view was beautiful. I sat at the edge of my new bed and starting unpacking my luggage.
Later that night my mom called me. I was watching TV at that time.
"Hi, sweety!! How was it then??"
"It's really good. I just feel alone."
"You won't feel alone after making friends and boyfriend," she said.
"Mom!! That is not going to happen."
"Oh, common sweety. Now you can have a list bit of fun. Don't just pack yourself in your room."
"Mom, please switch the topic"
"Hey, are you a lesbian?"
"What?? Mom, you are being pathetic. Bye, I will call you later. I am going to sleep now" I hung up.
I know my mom was cool and my best friend, but sometimes she just gets on my nerves. What was wrong with not having a bf and being a virgin.
As I was going to sleep, there was a knock at my door. I got up and opened the door wondering who must be there so late at night.
And there he was.
He took my breath away!
