Lucas's Pov
I strolled back to my room. I got my keys out and unlocked the door to my dorm. But something ought to be changed. Someone was here. I knew she was here somewhere. I stepped out of my room to the adjoining door. Before I knew what I was doing I knocked at the door.
There she was standing in front of me. For an instant, I was relieved that I was able to ascertain her. I never deemed our initial encounter was going to be like this. I have lost all my senses. I could sense her eyes wander all over me. It brought a shiver inside me.
She was absolutely beautiful. Deep brown eyes, dark brown hair, messed up in a bun. She was just perfect!! I could see she was affected by my presence.
Alina's Pov
He stood there in front of me. I seemed like time has frozen. He had black hair and blue eyes. He had a perfect body structure. I could sense heat passing between us. I was not able to move at all. At last, I gathered all my senses and looked straight into his eyes.
Lucas's Pov
"Hi! Do we know each other?" I asked.
"What? I don't think we have coincided before," she replied. But why is she behaving weirdly?
"You are from which house?" she was biting her lower lip. I never knew it was going to be so laborious not to look at her.
"What do you mean exactly? I moved here today only," she replied. Her eyes bored into mine sending a shiver all over me.
"No!! What did I ask you is your house name?" There was something wrong with her. Why isn't she telling me her house name?
I saw Matt approaching from the other end. The moment he saw me. He came running towards me. For a mere second, he was terrified.
I could sense her irritation towards me.
"Matt she is hiding her house from me!"
"Hi! My name is Matt! I am sorry for Lucas's side. We were just playing a game and also he has been drinking a lot these days. I hope you understand" She gave a nod to him. I first looked at Matt and then at her. She was smiling at him, bright and innocent. She did not smile when I was talking to her.
"What? I don't..." before I could finish my sentence Matt punched me from the back. He signaled me to be quiet. But why was he making excuses?
"Hi Matt! I am Alina. Lucas is reacting like he knows me, but I am new here!" She moved her hands while talking.
Matt gave her a nod and signaled me to move.
"It was nice meeting you, Alina. We have our dorm next to yours. Do tell me if you need anything" I scowled at Matt. I've been feeling jealous.
"Yeah, for sure. Bye! Goodnight to both of you," she replied while closing the door.
Matt dragged me to our room. I don't understand that. How can she not recognize me? I was pissed at Matt for not letting me talk to her. He knew how much I waited for her.
