Panicking they gulped as they looked around the circle or armed men. Killian suddenly smirked as a plan came into his head and without warning he headbutted a guard who had come up to him, ready to put on chains. Caught off guard by the action the gurad stumbled back allowing the pirate to grab his sword fighting off the guards, making way to escape. Emma, catching on to his plan, quickly followed suit with Neal tagging along behind. As soon as they were out of the circle of the guards they sprinted towards the stables. The guards began to fall behind as they had to run with a lot more armour tied to their bodies in comparison to the trio. Killian quickly hopped onto a black horse with a shining mane as Emma recoiled at the sight, fear seeping into her mind.

"Emma! Quick!" he yelled frantically as the clanging of armour could be heard approaching the group. She looked up terrified at Neal who had hopped onto a honey coloured one and galloped off. Rolling his eyes, Killian leant down, wrapping a strong arm around her waist before pulling her up onto the horse, sitting her in front of him, pulling her small body to his chest before the horse sped up the hill in the direction in which Neal had gone. Finally they caught up to the other and Neal looked angry as he glared at the pirate who had Emma tightly held to his toned chest. Soon they arrived at a small clearing where they jumped off of their horses and each sat on a rock looking around. Killian felt a pair of eyes burning a hole in the back of his head, he turned round to see Neal glaring at him. Confused he shrugs before standing and walking towards the wood, Emma following behind him. He abruptly turned causing her to bump into him.

"Woah there Swan, I know I'm irresistible but please refrain from throwing yourself at me" he smirked as she rolled her eyes.

"Thanks" she breathed as he looked down at the blonde in front of him in confusion.

"For what love?" he questioned.

"For saving me".

"Is that all your life is worth to you" he grinned cheekily gliding a thumb over his lips looking at her own.

"Please, you couldn't handle it".

"Perhaps, you're the one who couldn't handle it", without warning she grabbed the collar of his coat brining him to her face in a passionate kiss as they're lips moved in sync. Finally pulling back breathing heavily.

"That was..." he trailed off savouring the moment.

"A one time thing" she sighed letting go of his collar, turning on her heal and making her way back to camp.
Emma! How could you kiss him! You love Neal, you're supposed to hate Hook! Just sleep, Neal. Neal. Neal. Emma's mind screamed as she made her way back to the clearing before slumping against a tree, her eyelids becoming heavy.

-

The next morning the sunlight kissed her skin, waking her up from her peaceful sleep. Groggily she got up to see the two men already on horse back.

"Come on Swan" Hook chuckled as she groaned in response, dragging her feet along the ground. She quickly got onto the same horse as Neal deciding to avoid the pirate. Hook soon noticed and galoped out of the clearing with Neal not far behind. They rode for hours until they came across a small river where they could get a drink and wash they're faces. Emma quickly got off the horse avoiding the pirates gaze and knelt in front of the clear flowing water. Neal was lying on the grass as Killian knelt beside her filling up a water bottle.

"You al-" he started but was cut off as Emma turned to face him.

"You're my guide Hook, not my friend so just do your job! I don't even like you! Leave me alone" she spat glaring at him as he recoiled before his face held no emotion and his eyes turned cold and held pain. She was about to apologise when he abruptly stood.

"I was trying to be civil" he snarled before storming towards the horses and riding upon the black one. Slowly she stood and got onto the same one as Neal before they galloped of into the distance.

-

It was soon nightfall and they stopped at a tavern just outside a small village. They got two rooms and Neal made his way up to the one which he and Emma would share while Emma waited for the pirate as he walked over with rum in his hand.

"Killian you should go to sleep" she sighed eyeing the pirate.

"No Swan, you can though" he sneered turning to walk away when she grabbed his arm spinning him round to face her.

"Didn't know you liked it rough there love" he smirked at her causing her to frown.

"You're going to hurt yourself" she sighed shaking her head as he glared at her, his expression cold and distant.

"I'm your guide and not your friend, I don't like you so leave me alone" he growled shrugging her off downing his rum before ordering another as she stood there shocked and hurt as her own words were thrown back at her. shaking her head as her eyes glasses over she made her way up the creaking stairs before making her way to the bed, unable to sleep while Hook tried drinking his problems away...
