The chilly winter air bit and nipped at anyone who dared to leave the confines of their homes at this ungodly hour. Most people would be curled up in their beds, asleep and dreaming. But not a short skeleton named sans, he was one who challenged mother nature and ventured out into the cold. One reason he did this was the fact he couldn't feel the temperature. Another reason was the fact that he had a bad feeling about one of his friends.
He approached the residence of (y/n), a lovely human who had fallen into the underground. they were scared at first, timid and always on edge but as soon as they met sans and papyrus things had changed. They broke out of their little shy Shell to show the skelebros and others monsters how bright their personality was.
Sans had fallen head over heels for (y/n), there was no doubt about that. Papyrus was constantly pushing sans to tell them but sans told him "not now paps." Everytime.
Sans took out the spare key to (y/n)'s house, unlocking the door and quickly stepping in and closing the door.
The small house was dark, since they were asleep around this time. Sans walked through the house to (y/n)'s room, to see a shaking form under a blanket in the floor. His eyes softened as he heard the quite sobs come from their form.
(Y/n) had constant nightmares, about past events. He sat next to the small bundel on the floor and wrapped his arms around them. "Shhh..(y/n)..I'm here now. You're safe." He whispered to them. They threw the blanket off of them and clung to the skeleton, sobbing and mumbling broken sentences.
Sans frowned at this, he hated seeing (y/n) like this. He ran His boney hands through their hair, the sobbing soon stopped and was replaced by silence "I love you sans.." (Y/n) muttered as they drifted off to sleep.
