Chapter five-- What Are Big Brothers For?
As I got dressed I glanced in the mirror at my reflection. I had light brown hair with natural dark blonde highlights that hung heavily around my round face. It was at the perfect length to style any way I wanted. My face had little acne and my nose was on the smaller side and slightly pointed. However, I thought my eyes were the only decent thing about me. They were hazel around the pupil but faded to a light brown then green with gold flecks. My eyes were surrounded by thick, dark brown, long eyelashes that curled perfectly without any makeup.
Once I finished getting dressed, I slipped into my room only to find Adam sleeping soundly on my bed. He was still in his school uniform.
Adam went to a private school. One that you had to have multiple interviews, recommendations, and at least a 4.0 grade point average. There is also a waiting list.
I know Adam isn't fond of his school, but he wouldn't dare fight our father on it. I know it may seem unfair that only one of us goes to a private school, but I prefer public school. I can wear what I want and I don't have to talk to anyone if I don't want to. I can take music classes too. Right now I'm taking symphonic and marching band which I play my flute
I finally sat down on my bed and shook Adam gently. He slowly sat up and whispered "Oh Belle..." As he looked at me sadly. "I'm so sorry."
Just like every time Adam tries to help me, I just burst into tears because he is so sweet. He pulled me into a hug and whispered "It's going to be okay." After all what are big brothers for?
