It was about midday now, the sun was at its highest point in the sky. From my window you could see the walkers showering my yard like a bunch of hungry animals searching for their prey I no doubt sensed in this general area. Warren was gazing out the window at them all, a slight gasp escaping her lips as the others soon gathered around. I grabbed the shot-gun from the wall and fed her before cocking it and standing to my feet. All eyes were on me as my feet headed for the door, unlocking its numerous locks.
"Are you crazy? There are too many." Warren states, the only uninterested one being Murphy who casually sat on the sofa staring down at the blue skinned babe in his arms. Curiosity was definitely at its high point with him. I licked my chapped lips before turning back to warren, cradling the gun against me as I gave her a weary smirk.
"Crazy keeps you alive." I tell her, opening the door as I aimed my gun out at the flock of flesh eating undead. The last voice I heard was 10K.
"She's so cool."
I chuckle and shot out at the Zee, the bullet flying threw its skull and into the next behind it, their rotting eyes all looking up in my direction as their feet dragged them towards my area. I quickly reloaded and was able to knock out three more before pulling out a hatchet from my belt and slammed one into a tree, smashing its cranium like cake. I gag lightly as the blood sputtered on my face and clothes.
"Mercy.." I mutter as I quickly distinguish of the rest. From the window I could see warren standing beside Sunshine, looking amused at how prepared and easily I handed the situation. When its a fight for life, nothing is impossible. At-least, that is what I have learned. Observing from the fact iv'e had to keep myself alive alone all this time.
Can you blame me?
I gather myself up, taking in a breath of air as I scurried inside, wiping the blood from my brow as the gang of odd members looked up at me with amused looks, maybe surprise, all of course, except Murphy. He had handed the child over to the red head, and was going threw old tapes I had stacked up on a shelf in my living room. Most of them were my Grandfather and Brothers old western movies. My favorite among them being Tombstone. He quirked an eyebrow at the collection, lifting one to get a better look.
"I admire your families taste in entertainment." He states, not even looking up from the tape. I nod and smile, most of the movies were old tape cassettes. I remember re-watching them all the time with my brother and grandmother whenever my brother decided not to watch Starwars for like the ump-teenth time.
10k was sprawled out over the sofa, staring at the wall. "Is that a horseshoe?" He asks, pointing up at the wall.
"Yes, it's good luck and my familly loves old western cowboy shit." I laugh lightly. It was true. Everyone seemed to be doing great, until someone said something tat made me wanna cry.
"We have to leave soon." Warren says. Even though I know it was comming, I had finally gotten used to people again. I don't know what I will do without them now...
10K looked up at Warren then at me, a glint in his eyes, a look I couldn't quite describe...
