Surprisingly Normal

That night Warren and Addy took my old room. They were leaving in the morning so I decided to make my place the least bit comfortable as I could. I gave my grandmothers bed to Murphy and his child while 10K and the other man took the bunk bed in my brothers room. And I, I took the sofa. After all, it was only one night. But there was another problem, i'm not tired in the least. All I have on my brain is being alone again. It sent a shiver down my spine thinking about it. I never realised how much I hated being alone until...now.

I got up, my legs limbering over to the kitchen were above the kitchen sink was a cupboard with something I have been saving for a special occasion. Pop-tarts. The chocolate-fudge kind. There are alcoholics, drug-attics, well I, I am a Chocoholic. I grin as I grab the shiny wrapped desert in my hands and rip it open. Right now, this girl could use a bit of chocolate.

"What is that?" A familiar voice asks from behind me. I look around and my smile widens a bit.

10K.

"A pop-tart." I reply, turning myself to face him. He looks down at the food in my hand and lifts a brow at me. He looked confused making me lift an eyebrow back. He looks back up and asks something that made me want to scream in terror, "Whats a pop-tart?" I gasp and quickly take one out of the package.

"This sir, is the most delicious treat you will ever have." I smile, and place it in his hand which was surprisingly soft despite his calloused fingers. He studied me for a second, quizzically, before grinning and popping a piece into his mouth. His eyes immediately widen as what sounds like a monkey moan escapes his lips. I chuckle. "This is amazing." He says with a full mouth, making me look away and laugh a little harder. "What?" He asks, chuckling at my amusement.

"You act like you've never tasted chocolate before." I say, making him shrug his shoulders slightly. It was dark, but with the dim light coming from the candles I could see the glint of happiness in his emerald colored eyes. "I haven't had it since I was 6, almost forgot how amazing this shiz is." He says, quickly eating the rest of it as I slowly start on my own half.

"Shiz?" I ask jokingly, making him smile and run a hand threw his midnight dark hair.

"Yea, I don't like to cuss." He says, tilting his head to the side slightly. The gesture in itself was breathtaking. How can someone who hardly showers look this good? How I ask you? And am I seriously gloating about how good he looks? It is official, the zombie apocalypse has made me crazy.I smile nonetheless.

"Well good, my grandma was always against it. Whenever I cursed she would make me go to church and confess my sins after washing my mouth out with soap. You could say it became a natural habit to just not cuss at all." I tell him, making him blink and chuckle lightly.

"Dang, I would just get reprehended by my dad." He laughs, shaking his head so a bit of his hair flopped over his brow. I bit my lip, and without thinking brushed my hand across his forehead to push his hair back. He grabs my hand making me freeze and looks me dead in the eyes. My lower lip twitches at our proximity and my elbow hits the counter bringing me out of the short daze I was in as I hissed and pulled back from him, grabbing my elbow.

Of course this would happen to me. I'm putting this in my Of-Course file in head.

He laughs nervously and takes a step back. He was surprisingly normal for a big bad zombie hunter. I liked it though. Even in the dim light you could see the light shade of pink spread across his cheeks. He's blushing...Because of me?

"I should get back to bed. Long day tomorrow." He says, biting on his lip. I look down and nod.

"Yea, of course. See you in the morning." I smile at him. He smiles back then turns around and heads back towards my brothers room. Once he's gone I let out a relieved sigh. How awkward would it have been if I kissed him and he's leaving tomorrow...?
