Chapter 5

The next morning the villagers were rebuilding the houses that were destroyed by the centipede. Me, Kagome, Kiada and Inuyasha were all inside of Kaida's small house as Kiada bandaged Kagome.

"I noticed you're rebuilding the houses wrecked by Mistress Centipede. It seems like a pain." Kagome says, in wonder.

"Yeah, Kagome, way to state the obvious." I say, smirking as Kagome just looks over and sticks her tongue out at me.

"A pain yes and just the beginning, now that the shikon tanga has come out of its hiding place far worse will come. " Kiada said, washing out the cloth she use to clean Kagome's wound.

"Worse than... yesterday?"

"And Not just demons... there are humans whose hearts are stilled with evil, petty desires." Kiada says washing her hands.

"Speaking of petty..." I say, looking off to Inuyasha who was facing away from us and lying on his side.

"What are you still doing here?" Kagome finished for me as Inuyasha looks over at us to glare.

'I guess this dog woke up on the wrong side of the doggy bed.' I thought snickering.

"I'm waiting for The Jewel." Inuyasha said, slowly before he turned back around.

"With the beads on Inuyasha's threat demised and it is the only way we can let him so close to The Jewel." Kiada say's as she and Kagome face Inuyasha

"Useless mutt." I said, muttering with a quiet laughter.

"Why do you want The Jewel, anyway? It seems like you're strong enough as it is. What power can The Jewel give you, you don't already have" Kagome say's, looking down at The Jewel in her hand as Kiada gets up the pitcher of water in one hand and a clothe in the other.

"Ash, but he's just half demon." And as she said that Inuyasha thought it would be a good time to punch a hand threw the freaking floor.

"You know what I don't have to stay here and listen to some dried up witch talk like she knows me!" Inuyasha says getting to his feet his hand still in the floor.

"Yeah, mutt no one said ya' had to stay, so leave!" I say, polishing off my shoes and glaring at the back of his head.

"So ye' don't remember, I thought as much. I am younger sister to Kikyo, the one who bound you to the tree, Kiada." She say's, walking over and washing her feet in a pond.

"OH, you're the brat, huh?" Inuyasha said amazed.

"50 years has passed and I have grown old." Kiada says, turning her back on us as Inuyasha scratches his head.

"If you're this old then Kikyo must be pushing 100. I'm glad I don't have to worry about getting' old for a while." Inuyasha says lying back on his elbows.

"Kikyo didn't worry either, Kikyo died. It was the same day she shot ye' with an arrow" Kiada say's, stirring something in a pot and then going and putting small logs in the fire as Inuyasha's ear twitched when she said that, although not enough to be seen by normal humans a little far back.

"Yeah, really sorry to hear that, not like I care or nothing. There' nothing much to worry about." Inuyasha said, lying back down.

"You, inconsiderate little jerk! Show a little respect to the dead and to the loved ones who lost them!" I say, jumping on Inuyasha and slapping over and over to the point where I think he going to look like a squashed tomato.

"GET HER OFF ME!" Inuyasha screams, as I slap him harder and harder then after awhile I calm down and sit beside Kagome again as Inuyasha mutters something about crazy girls.

'Like I could careless, you mutt.'

"I wouldn't be so sure about, Inuyasha, that I now know, Kagome is the reincarnation of my sister." Kiada says, looking over at us with something burning in her eye, a feeling that was genuine.

"Wait, What!" I say, freaking out as I pounce up and start to pace.
