Chapter 16

Obviously, we had found Kagomi but it did not go well at all.

It only made Sessy even more upset and he didn't even give me a kiss even though I helped find them.

I didn't ask him... I was so not about to make myself look desperate but dammit I really did want that kiss.

Anywho... Jaken was currently sitting by a lake, sulking because he wouldn't shut his mouth hole and Sess kept hitting him rocks.

Lemme tell you, after the fifth hit you'd think the guy would get a clue but nope, he kept yapping away with not a care in the world.

"Codi, come here," Sesshomaru says, a sparkle in his eye,"I need to talk to you."

I raise an eyebrow skeptically, that practically touches my hairline,"I think I'm good over here. I can see a thing going on in the head of yours and it's not gonna end up well for me so...."

He runs a hand down his face, taking his sweet ole' time before getting up and plopping down beside me, looking into the fire I made.

I look at him from the corner of my eye,"Are you okay?"

"I have been trying to best my brother for years now. I trained and bled but not once have I been able to defeat him, not once have I been able to prove to my father that I am good enough."

Sesshomaru looks at me, defeat in etched into his face before his lays back, his arms behind his head.

"Your dad is dead,"I say, not quite understanding how he would still need to prove something to his dad.

"Yes, but I promised myself that I would be better than Inuyasha. I promised that I would make my father pay attention to me, even though he is dead I must also honor those promises."

"No offense, honey, but that's so stupid," I pay his arm and poke the fire with Jaken's staff,"I mean, I get wanting your dad to notice you but Inuyasha is your brother too. You shouldn't want to kill your brother, I mean you aren't really good at it anyway.... The guy took your arm off, I think it's time to call it off." I shrug and wave a hand.

I look at him when I realize he hasn't said anything snappy at me the whole time I was kinda telling him off.

The idiot was sleep and he was drool a river.

"WHY YOU LITTLE-?! I drop knowledge on you and you go to sleep on me! Last time I help you!" I get up and stomp my foot before walking off into a village.

I don't get far before a hand covers my mouth and a body presses behind me, a hot breath tickling my neck,"If you fight me, I'll kill you and both of those demons you love so much."

Then it all went black.
