I saw the rusted metal fence ahead and pushed on my brakes. I abandoned my old rusty bike by the owl tree and ran over to Lucas. He was leaning on the other side of the fence. Tired and a bit sun burnt. "Oh hey Jay. Sorry, I'm a bit tired. Got any food?" He smirked. I pulled out a half of loaf of bread and shoved it through one of the open holes of the fence. "Did your Mama make this?" Lucas laughed and pulled off a piece of bread from the long white loaf. "Yeah. She said she don't make these kind of loaves for any old person. Just you" I pointed at Lucas and giggled. He ain't the same ever since he got to his "Mama". It had changed him. In a bad way.
