Corrupted Hopes

-[3]- The World With Swords.

 Hearing his grey and black sneakers crunching on the rock pavement ground in the school grounds, he'd carry his sword that is wrapped with a white bandage. His left hand gripping on the sword, with his thumb laying on the handle of the sword. He came to school without Ember because of her clubs. One of them is student council and the reason. In this world of theirs, student council means patrol, security and/or lead trainings if the teachers are absent. Or in other words, substitutes. It's infrequently for Ember to not work with Kai.

Entering the classroom, there was only 30 students that were presented in the building. Ember and Kai included. Kai came to the school 30 minutes early, from actual lessons. His eyes caught two people he was intimate with. He'd walk towards them. Both of them recognize him. A male and a female. Dane and Lumina. Him and Ember are friends with those two, and wouldn't care much if Kai is far apart than Ember. They know they are not the perfect siblings. Dane would have a shag hairstyle, similar to Kai's and would be around his height. Has the same skin like Ember and Lumina, and would have a similar build with Nova, but a bit more buff. Lumina would have her hair down with a braid on the back of her head. Her height isn't that much surprising, as she's only 5"7" feet. The shortest comparing to the other three.

"I never expect to see you guys here early." He'd look both of them, standing in front of them. Lumina would be sitting at her desk, when Dane is also sitting, but with his chair flipped towards Lumina's desk, sitting the chair backwards. "Hello to you too." Dane said, raising his right fist. Kai chuckled and pull out his fist, as they pump their fists together. "Where's Nova and Ember?" Lumina asked.

"Nova still in bed perhaps, and Ember got student council." Kai answered. Dane and Lumina smirked towards his reply.

"Usually, she's always with you being mushy and stuff with you." Dane said.

"I know right? I doubt there are siblings!" Lumina laughed. Dane joined as well. Kai sighed.

"We are siblings by blood. We can't have a love relationship like that. I'm just her only family."

Dane and Lumina suddenly stopped, then stared at each other, pondering together. "True;" they both said.

Kai drag a chair from a nearby desk and placed it next to Lumina's desk and sat down, placing his sword against his leg. Dane and Lumina noticed it.

"By the way, Kai. What is that?"

"My sword." Both Dane and Lumina would ponder for a moment, of why would Kai bring a sword. They figured he's a sword slinger after all, and decided to ignore that question.

"Where did you get it from? I don't think there would be any stores that sells real swords."

Kai wanted to say he got it from the concealed training course under the school, but he remembered he wanted to keep it a secret.

"From a friend." He lied.

"Excuse me." A voice said. Sounded like a girl. Kai catches Dane and Lumina looking above him, towards the person. Kai looked behind him to see a girl, around his height with long loose black hair and same skin colour as him, look down at him. "That's my chair."

Kai notice the girl wasn't in this class before, and in fact has binders and books on the desk that wasn't there before. Kai stood up. "Sorry. Was borrowing it." She nodded and drag the chair back to her desk.

He notice to see more people coming into the classroom. He catch to see Ember enter the classroom, and she catch to see Kai looking at her. She'd began to walk towards them. He faced back towards the other two. "So, head out for lunch today?" Kai asked both of them.

"Yeah, sure." They both answered. Kai realize both of their eyes trace towards someone else. He'd follow their eyes to see Ember next to him. "What's going on?" She asked.
