・•She's A Lady•・
(Not Edited)Calum is really fucked. He has two guys that hate him. Two. He didn't know how he managed to do that, but he did and now he was paying for it.
Everyone was avoiding Calum like the plague. No one was talking to him no one at all. He knew what he had done, but he didn't know why they were all ignoring him. Well, he understood why Luke and Ashton where but not everyone else.
Then as he was walking into the bathroom someone pushed past him. Calum stumbled back and flailed his arms a little to try to regain his balance. He turned around and saw a head of fiery red hair retreating into a classroom down the hall.
Calum knew then that he wasn't the most popular person in school, let alone the most liked. He knew he was the bottom of the food chain, scum, dirt, and finally Calum was what he felt he was.
Calum knew he was pushing away everyone that was important to him, but he couldn't stop himself. He was afraid of getting hurt. It was a lame excuse. Even Calum knew that, but he didn't want to dig deeper and find the real reason.
He knew that whatever he found out would be 10 times worse than whatever it was then. He rubbed his should and continued on to the bathroom. He walked inside swinging the door open with disregard. He knew no one was inside.
He went to the sinks and looked at himself in the mirrors. He hardly recognized himself. When had he become so bitter? He wished he knew the answer to every question he asked about himself, but life is hardly ever fair.
He turned on the tap and lowered his head so he could splash cold water on his face. The day so far had been hard. He didn't have anyone to talk to and he needed someone to give him advice, to hear him out. He needed someone to just tell him what to do.
When Michael had bumped into Calum purposefully he was sending a message. If you fuck with my friends I'll fuck with you're life, asshole.
Admittedly Michael felt badass when he did it, but when he got in the class room he had to clutch his shoulder. Calum has to have a rock for a shoulder, Michael thought rubbing his sore shoulder.
He went back to his seat and gently massaged his shoulder, Luke was shooting him worried glances the entire period. Michael had found out the night Luke moved in that they had lot of classes together. Like too many to only become aware of recently.
Luke was really cool, at least in Michael's opinion he was. And in Luke's opinion Michael was pretty amazing. Michael took him in with out a second thought. So, yeah Luke thought Michael was rad.
Luke was already caring about Michael. He was afraid of these feelings. He didn't want to depend on Michael, but he made it so easy. Michael wanted Luke to lean on him and it was hard for Luke to refuse.
Luke missed the feeling of someone genuinely caring for him. He missed long hugs, and concerned words. He missed being loved. He missed his parents, but they don't want him. If his parents didn't want him, then who would?
Luke was planning on moving out of Michael's house soon. But first he needed a job. Soon his mind wandered off into the endless possibilities as the teacher droned on.
The bell rang making Luke hop out of his chair into a standing position. Michael laughed from across the room and Luke stuck his tongue out at Michael. The boys met at the door and walked out into the crowded hallway.
"What happened to your shoulder?" Luke asked as they weaved around the slow walkers.
"Just bumped into someone a little too hard," Michael said sheepishly. This is what he got for trying to be all badass. Luke raised and eyebrow as he giggled. Michael almost lost control of his legs.
Luke's giggle was so fucking cute.
Michael laughed as he tried to play off his almost face plant. Luke just thought Michael was being weird, or more weird than usual. He was just happy for once and he wasn't going to question Michael and ruin the moment.
As Michael and Luke walked into their next class, Calum was holed up in a stall with his backpack that he had gone to get. He heard the chatter and laughter of his peers and he felt like he was looking in.
Calum felt isolated, something Michael would argue is well deserved. Calum had done the same thing to Luke. Yeah, karma's a bitch.
The difference was that the only thing Luke had done "wrong" was fall in love. Calum was purposefully ruining everything good in his life because maybe he thought he didn't deserve anything good.
What a fucking character flaw. He's attractive but bitter. He knew he could get who he wanted but he didn't think he deserved them. This was so fucked.
Calum just sat on the floor back against the stall door playing games on his phone until the final bell rang. He groaned as his achey muscles constricted to make him move.
"Fuck," he whispered under his breath. It hurt to move, to think, to breathe, to live in general and he was sick of it. He hated to be in pain and right then that was the only thing he felt.
Calum was being angsty, and he knew that he really did. But he couldn't help it. He wanted to blame everyone but himself for all his problems.
He blamed the system and society. He blamed his parents and his friends. He blamed everyone but himself because if he did he'd never forgive himself. He did know he was to blame, but others were to To blame for his distrust in his romantic/sexual partners. At least Calum was trying to convince himself of that.
Calum walked home in the rain. The cold droplets made his clothes stick to his burning skin. Calum was hoping he'd get sick. He didn't want to go to school ever again.
He got home soaked and shaking. His mother and father were home and Calum had been hoping they weren't going to be.
"I just moped the damn floor, Calum," his mother scolded rather harshly. He couldn't help that he was drenched. He mumbled a quick sorry before rushing to his room and locking the door behind him.
Calum's parents loved him. They just weren't aware of how insensitive they could be to him. And his sister was a completely different situation. She didn't actually care about Calum at all.
He didn't want his families actions to hurt him, it how could they not?
