Chapter 8

For the next few hours, I spend my time by reading "The Fault In Our Stars" and watching "Pretty Little Liars" on my iPad. Before I knew it I was once again hitting LA territory. I get off of the plane a bit anxious about everyone's reaction to the sudden relationship. I go grab my luggage and hurry to the parking lot and try to spot my friends. It takes me a minute but I finally find their car in the back of the parking lot. I call Cameron, knowing that he is probably the one driving, and tell him to pull up front and that I'm waiting. "Okay! On our way up there!" he replies. I know him almost too well. They pull up and I cram my stuff into the trunk and hop into the back seat with Grace and Ethan. Cam and Riley were up front while Grace, Ethan, and I were all squished in the back.

"Where's Grayson?" I ask. "He's at home waiting for us to get back. We beat him to the car so he had to stay home." Grace instantly answers with a little too much excitement. They ask all sorts of different questions about my time with my family. "I'll tell you when everyone can hear so I don't have to repeat myself so many times." I say, they all groan out of frustration. We pull into our driveway and get all of my stuff in the house. As soon as I get inside I get tackled by Emily, Grayson, Matt, Hayes, Shawn, Aaron, and Jack. For the next few minutes there was a lot of "I missed you" and "How was the trip?" and things like that. 

"Well, I know for a fact that Grace had something that she wanted to share with us." We all look at her and see her cheeks turn a bright red. She glances over to Grayson who is also a little red himself. "Wait a second." Aaron says with shock about what he thinks is going on. "As you all know, we have been hanging out a lot lately. We have also been on a few dates, which you guys didn't know." Grace says as we all start to see what is going on here. "So what she is trying to say here is, that Grayson and Grace is now a thing, an item, a couple." Grayson finishes. They squeeze each others hands and stare at each other in the eyes which makes us all gag. "You guys are just jealous." Gray says. "Not me, I have everything I need right here." Hayes says while pulling Riley into a huge hug and kisses her on the top of her head.  "Ugh, you guys are making me sick." I reply hiding my jealousy that Clay is not here with me. 

"So Rachel, you also had something to tell us." Riley urges. "Oh right!" Everyone perks up at hearing that there is more news to come. "So throughout the past 5 days, I saw an old friend/crush of mine, Clay, and we hung out a lot on my trip. And I know it was only five days, but I really like him okay, so, here it goes. Clay and I are now together!" They all clap for me and give me congratulations. They only person I don't get anything from is Ethan. Weird, but I don't think anything of it because he is probably just still processing everything. 

"Well I'm going to unpack while Grace tells me," I look over at Grace who is now listening to me, "how Grayson popped the magical question. We get to my room and as soon as I close the door, she starts telling her story. "So, we were alone at home with nothing to do, so we go out to roller-skate. After that we eat lunch and then go for a walk in the park. I notice a trail of candles (btw, it's dark now) leading down somewhere. He leads me down the path and it ends at a place set for a romantic dinner. We eat and after that, he turns on some music. Together, we dance for what we feels like the best eternity. He stops, stares into my eyes and mine to his, and he pops the question to which I obviously say 'yes' to. And, yeah, that's how it happened." "That is so romantic!" I reply. "So how did Clay ask you?" Riley asks while they both squeal. Here we go, I laugh as I start to tell my fantastic fairy tale.

I am so sorry for not updating for what feels like forever! School has me swomped with stuff to do. I will try to keep up as best as I can, just hag in there and keep faith in me! Hope you enjoyed this new chapter! Love all you guys!
