Chapter 9

Ethan's P.O.V -

I can't believe it. I waited too long and she got taken away from me. But I won't give up in fighting for her. This long distance relationship won't last long, they never do. So I'll just wait it out until the time is right. 'Till then, I'll just get closer to her and try to build her feelings for me. I at least want to be really good friends with her if I can't get any closer than that. Gray doesn't know about my feelings for her yet, so I need to tell him for sure. And I need to tell him right now.

"Hey Gray?" I say walking into his room. "Yeah, what's up?" He looks up from his phone to see me at the door and motions me to come in. "Okay, so, there's something I need to tell you." "Alright shoot." I pause trying to gather all of my words and put them together to make sense. "I like Rachel and I always have from the start. I was going to tell her about my feelings for her after she got home. But now she has come back in a relationship with this Clay person and I don't know what to do." All of this just pores out of me like a waterfall leaving Gray with a look of shock but understatement on his face. 

"Oh wow man. You've got yourself into something sticky here. What were you thinking of doing?" I tell him about what I had planned while he listened carefully. "That's good, stick with that. We're having a pool party today if you want to come. It's all of the guys, Riley, Grace, and Rachel coming. You could start bonding more with Rachel today." A pool party is a great way of bonding with her. "Yeah sure. Okay I'll be there. Oh and by the way dude, don't tell Grace or our sister about this. You know that they will tell Rachel and ruin everything." "No dude of course. I was never planning on telling them anyhow." he replies. Great, now time to put my plan into action. 

Riley's P.O.V - 

So today we are having a pool party that Gray is throwing together. I volunteer to help with the decorations while he gets the food and tells our friends about it. I was a bit unsure about the theme that he was going with so I went to go check with him that the decorations that I got were what he is looking for. I reach his door when I here him and Ethan talking. They talk a lot to each other so it wasn't a big deal. That was until I heard Rachel's name mentioned. I get interested so I tune in some more to hear what they are talking about. "I like Rachel and I always have from the start." Ethan says. Oh my gosh. I can't believe that my brother has a crush on my best friend who also happens to have a boyfriend. "Oh and by the way dude, don't tell Grace or our sister about this. You know that they will tell Rachel and ruin everything." is the last thing I hear from the conversation before I bolt back to my room before they find out that I heard everything.

I have no idea what to do. Ethan doesn't want us to know, and I don't want to ruin Rachel and Clay's awesome, romantic relationship. So I decided to keep quiet, which is rare for me, and let Rachel and Ethan work it out on their own. For now, I have to get to work on these pool party decorations. I wonder how this is going to turn out.

I'm back!! I'm so, so sorry for disappearing on you guys, but school has taken up all of my free time and with the holidays coming up I am so busy. I plan on making more character's point of views just to change things up a bit. I will do my best to update more often. Hope you enjoyed this chapter!
