Love, The Author

Aria's P.O.V.

When I awoke I felt fully rejuvinated, even if I lost some sleep last night.

As I got out of bed, in my head Lucy got up and stretched her feet in front of her, bending forward like a cat, pushing her chest down, then ended with pushing her butt down instead with her chest up and out.

'I heard that cat remark! I am not a skanky filth-bag cat! THE NERVE!' She yelled in my head pretending to be stern with me as I laughed, tears filling my eyes. As I recovered I went into my bathroom and took a shower, shampooing and conditioning my hair, shaving, and, of course, singing loudly to music on the radio!

As I got out of my shower, I wrapped my towel around my body and headed to my closet. Though my room was average, my closet was another story; it. Was. Huge. All my clothes were hung in a way I prefered it, instead of color coded or something riddiculous like that, they were in order of the seasons, shoes were to match in their cubbies, with fall on the left and spring on the right. Beings it was August 30th, I would be wearing a long-sleaved brown knit shirt over an orange tank top, along with my cargo pants that have all the pockets, and my favorite fall boots that are tan with fur on the inside with laces in the front. Just to be matchy-matchy I decided to wear a bright orange pony tail, with matching headband and earings that were hoops. I went into my bathroom and started my make-up when my mom walked in carying a tray; french toast! My favorite!

'Figuered that you should have a nice breakfast in bed for your first day of a new school but your already up!' She said with a smirk as she set the tray down. My mom knew me too well to be surprised that I was already up, showered, clothed, and in make-up before she could even come in with breakfast. I'm always like that, impecable you may call it, she calls it OCD.

'Thanks mommy!' I said as I reached down and grabbed a peice of toast, dipping it in the syrup bowl and crunching down on my own personal breakfast-heaven.

'No problem hunny, just as long as you slow down! You look like your going to choke!'

I laughed as I swallowed the thrid peice of bread and gulped down some orange juice, trying not to choke now she had me laughing.

'So, Aria dear, are you nervous?'

'Not one bit!' I said sarcastically, "Come on mom, you know me, I was nervous at my old school, just going up in front of the class for a presentation! Let alone meeting a new pack that was so gracious to accept us, beings we were kicked out of the last pack. As everyone knows no doubt... Why should I be nervous?' I said this all in a scared tone, revealing my worry of the day to come.

'Don't worry! If everyone knows that we were kicked out, they probably also know why! You'll be fine! Text me if you do have any problems though, like with your schedual, because everything else will go great.' My mom was so confadent that I would have a good day, I almost believed her. Almost.

As we arrived at Morton highschool I looked around, trying to distinguish who were were's. I knew immediatly, of course, you see every werewolf has a gift. I just happen to have three; something very uncommon. So uncommon in fact that my last pack kicked me out and my parents followed, not wanting to leave their only child. You see having multiple gifts only happens when two or more babies are in the whomb; one dies and the other absorbs its power, but not its wolf. I had two brothers who died because they wouldn't stop kicking the hell out of eachother, and I absorbed their powers, and even though their deaths weren't my fault, I was frowned upon; my pack looked at me like the harbringer of death and destruction, and finally when I turned fifteen, they had had enough. On my fifteenth birthday, August 25th, they told me that I needed to leave; that I was banded from the pack. My parents came with me, and found Alpha Hutchingson, who so kindly took us in, and so now me, Lucy, mom and dad, and their wolves, are all part of the Grey Luna pack. The Grey Luna pack is quite unusual, so they usually will accept some eccentric people. You see every Luna that ever was or will be in this pack is light grey in color, not white, like every other Luna in the world.

I guess that's one peice of news I won't be surprised to get; I have a dark grey wolf, so I'm not the Alpha-in-waitings mate. Yay me. As I continued to stare off into space someone poked me in the belly, someone who turned out to be 5'foot with fire-engine red hair and bright green georgous eyes. This pixie-like figure looked into my eyes, confused, but happy.

'Hello! I'm Alice Frolick, Alice is short for Alison, your the new werewolf aren't you?' She smirked at my reaction, for I had inhaled sharply at her words, 'Haha calm down!' She laughed out, 'Most people here are were's, but you knew that didn't you?'

I nodded yes, 'I'm sorry, I'm Aria, it's my first day.'

'I know, your the girl with three powers, what were they? Mind reading, built-in wolf radar, and telling the future, was it?' She asked with an inquiring look

I nodded yes, indicating her memory is corrcet. She smiled at me,

'A quiet one eh? Don't worry, a few days with me and you'll be the loudest person in the room! Oh yeah, while were on the subject, I might as well tell you what I can do; I screw with emotions; I can intimidate a crowd, make you more confadent, whatever! but I promise, unless the Alpha orders it of me, I will not screw with you!' Alice said this last bit rather fast, as if scared I might hurt her or something if she tried to. At this moment I had a feeling that she was frightened of me, but why I had no idea for I smelt that she is mated to a Beta, so she is supperior to me, a lowley wolf at the middle of the food-chain of pack life. As I contemplated this she interupted my thoughts, rather apoligetically,

'What's your first class?' She asked me, timid,

'Umm,' I checked my schedual, 'Art with Rebah Jones, room 201.' I recited off the paper in my hand.

'Oh goodies!!! You and I can sit together then!' And with that Alice Frolick became my first friend in Morton high as she dragged me to art, and what seemed to be a pleasing day ahead of me.
