Lots of love, The Author!
As Alice and I walked into Mrs. Jones' room Alice sat down and an eccentric lady came up to me. She had curly black hair, corkscrewing around her pale-moon face, with wide blue eyes, speckled with purple, staring in a bright and happy fashion.
'Hello, Mrs. Jones, I presume?' I questioned of this beautiful lady in her mid-twenties.
'Why yes dear, but call me Rebah! But of course you must be Aria, what a pretty ring it has to it; Aria!' Mrs. Jones stated in a singsong voice, pure joy of the day raidiating in every word. I could already tell that Mrs. Jones would be my favorite teacher, even if she was human. Actually I liked her even more for that; I could tell she apprieciated nature like no other humans do. She sees beauty in life where others would see dirt and grime.
'Well please take a seat wherever! I'll get class started I guess...' Rebah muttered as she stalked to the front of the class, glaring at obviouse trouble-makers.
I sat down next to Alice to see that a guy was with her with his arm around her and his face in her neck. By my radar I could tell he was a wolf, and Beta, and so I assumed that this man was Alice's mate.
'Hey Aria, this is Jason; my mate' Alice said with great pride in her eyes, which I understood beings as this Jason is our next Beta. Jason is big and muscular, 'but not the biggest muscles I've seen...' Lucy said in my mind, bringing a picture of our mate from our nightmare/dream him. Back to Jason; he has black shaggy hair that seemed neatly tidied into forward spikes, but I could tell this was a natural look; most wolves don't dye or abuse their hair. His eyes are lightning-streak blue, like electricity on a dark night.
'Hello, Beta Jason. It is a pleasure to meet you,' I assured, smiling at him in a polite manner. Alice looked shocked, so I sent a questioning look to her,
'How did you know he is a soon to be Beta?' Alice asked.
'Oh, well that built in radar of mine? Yeah it also tells me the rank and powers of the were's around me... so I knew you were mated to a Beta and I knew Jason is he, and I know both of your powers, which are projecting feelings and emotions, and for Jason, seeing through deciet and lies. That must come in real handy when interigating rogues, am I right?' I asked in a joking mannar trying to undue the awkwardness my whisper-speech had become, even if I was whispering, every were in the room knew what I had said, and every human was unaware, but all the were's looked to their future Beta for comformation of truth in my words, and as he nodded, they all looked to me, astounded and, in some cases, frightened. I sensed the fright from an Omega and some more 'lesser wolves' as others who were bullies would call them, I don't care, just as long as your dedicated to protecting the pack and helping others.
'Wow, your good.' Jason said exasperated, 'Well no wonder your futur-' at that moment Alice punched him in the ribs, cutting off what he was going to say to me. Even though it physically didn't hurt when she punched him, he looked like his feelings were hurt a little so she kissed him and said 'shhh' to keep him quiet, to not reveal whatever pack-secrets are too important for my-or others- ears. I just looked away, not hurt in the slightest, because I knew as a middle-class wolf in this pack, I'm lucky to sit with the future Beta and Beta's mate in my first class on my first day of school and being in this pack. I found myself fortunate just to be allowed to talk to the future Beta; in my old pack the Beta shunned me and when I made a move to speak he would hit me across the face.
'So what are all of your classes? We'll compare and try to sit with you in every class we're with you, all the classes you're not allowed to sit anywhere you want are run by wolves, so they usually put pack members together, all the classes where you can sit wherever are humans teaching. Most of the school board is werewolves though so it makes it easier if you have to ditch class for pack stuff or emergencies.' Alice spoke in a matter of fact tone I've come to expect from her. She just seemed like that type of girl who knows facts no-one else knows, she's probably smart in school, a trivia junkie, and a funny girl who thinks she's a nerd, and so far I think I'm right on the money with my assumptions.
'Um period one; Mrs. Rebah Jones, Art, 201. Period two; Mrs. Nora Bently, Math-Algebra 2, 204. Period three; Mr. Ben Fitzherbert, history, 206. Lunch. Period fourth, Mrs. Emily Baker, Writing, 300. Period fifth, Mr. Grant Salvator, advanced science-grade 12, 303. Any matches?' I inquired after reading the list.
'Jeez! Science nerd! Your only in grade 10, well that's like Jason here I guess. Well we all have the same lunch, you and I have art, history and writing together, and you and Jason have art, math, and science together. Also, a friend of ours has almost the exact schedual as you, he has normal science with me though and P.E. instead of art, but same lunch.' Alice started blushing at the end, for what reason I knew not, probably something inconsequencial so I decided not to ask.
'That's great! I'll have at least one friend in every class, and people to sit with at lunch! Maybe this Isn't going to go as bad as I thought this morning when I was dropped off by my mom...' I muttered the end to myself but I knew they heard, duh, they're werewolves!
'Well there's still time for a ruined day...' Alice said, barely audible, as I heard heels approaching from behind as the bell for next class rang.
I felt Lucy get up and growl, 'Oh shit, this might end badly...'
Yes I know, I know, I'm terrible, I left a cliffhanger! Well I thought it sounded good, see know I can lead in with the next chapter, I can hear it now; I turned to see a bitchy face covering my view, anger clear in her black eyes, content at what she was going to do next... No? Eh I try. Hope you loved this chapter as much as I did! As ever; if there are any errors please tell me so I may attend to them!
