¨What just happened?¨ Shin groaned as he sat up tired feeling something rolling from his chest on his lap. he scratched his head while looking down, only to see the snowboy sleeping on his lap.

¨okay... what did... oh yeah¨ He muttered to himself watching Jack sleeping silently. After they made the deal that Jack would try to bring back his memories he followed Shin all over the place and after a long time he simply fell asleep in the middle of flying. i mean, who can friggin fall asleep while flying?! Shin had caught him and brought him into his home and because he didn't let go of Shin's shirt, they just fell asleep like that.

Shin looked at his scythe next to Jack's scepter staff thingy. what a simple thing for an actual guardian. it wasn't like he never heard of Jack frost. after all he IS a guardian. even big foot knows about them. the guardians are Santa, bunny, sandy, toothfairy and Jack frost. but honestly they were all strangers to him. he didn't bother to make contact with anyone. it was easier to just do his job.

Even though Shin felt a void. he didn't feel the need to fill it. he gave in, it was kinda annoying but it wasn't killing him. so he let it be.

but somehow that void felt a little filled with this white haired boy on his lap. even though he didn't knew much. very little actually.... he felt some kind of connection. it didn't feel bad. just reeeeaaally weird. like you feel a connection with someone you never met. like something from your past life or paranoia stuff like that.

Jack groaned pulling Shin out of his thoughts and resting his hand on Jack's head. he felt cold. did he always feel cold?

Jack suddenly opened his eyes and stared at Shin's hand, who took a moment before pulling it away. ¨Sleepflying? seriously?¨ Shin grinned. ¨snoring? seriously?¨ Jack countered grinning while sitting up. ¨i don't snore. i'm silent as the death self¨ Shin stretched himself making some sore muscles crack. Jack looked from a playfull grin to a face that would be described as someone who is desperate not to lose someone. ¨Don't joke like that¨ Jack said softly holding his knees close. his depression was still at the surface and would come up any time.

¨How so? i am technically death, i'm the death judging death. sounds kind of weird though¨ Shin said as he picked up his scythe. Jack only hid his face. death was a harsh word. it had cause him so much pain for 800 years or maybe longer. he can't exactly let all those feelings dissapear. rather he isn't able to do so.

Shin looked at Jack with pain of regret. he shouldn't have said that. Jack had been through a lot. even though he couldn't remember, he could guess enough from Jack's emotions. he was like an open book, but yet there were some secret pages. at least that's what he thought.

Jack felt a warm hand resting on his head slowly going through his hair. gentle and caring and he looked up. he didn't have tears. but it was clear he was sad. ¨sorry, i won't joke about it alright?¨ Shin said smiling softly hoping it would cheer him up.

¨No... i overreacted it's fine¨ Jack smiled half. he needed to get to reality. the reality where Shin is real... a real god of death. he won't disappear anymore. they could live together forever. they had a forever, so it doesn't matter how long it took to make Shin's memory come back. ¨Alright, Jack, if you say so¨ Shin said smiling still ruffling his hair. ¨How about a game?¨ Shin proposed as he pulled a trigger making all kinds of games fall out which made Jack chuckle ¨where did they come..... where am i anyway?¨ He asked looking around, stunned at the beauty of this cave like mansion. at least it had to be something like a mansion right? if Shin lived here.

¨It's my home¨ Shin said smiling. ¨i woke up in here¨ he said as he pulled out some games and he grabbed unconsciously one of jack's favorite. bunny hop where the bunny falls into holes. ¨Bunny hop good with you? or do you think it's childish mister snowman?¨ Shin smirked and Jack could only smile, truly this time. the old Shin was still there. ¨It's my favorite. do you know why?¨ Jack smiled as he flew over to Shin, taking a seat opposite of him on the ground. ¨I wouldn't know¨ Shin said slight playful, yet careful, he didn't want Jack to go back to hugging his knees. ¨Because the bunny gets trapped and all kind of jokes pulled on him by a carrot¨ Jack laughed, which sparked something in Shin's heart. ¨I guess on a bad relation with the eastern kangaroo¨ Shin laughed. ¨Yes, the kangaroo¨ Jack looked at Shin. did he do it accidentally? or was something coming back? ¨Why do you call him kangaroo instead of bunny?¨ Jack asked curious while setting up the game. ¨Dunno, it felt like i heard it somewhere before¨ Shin answered while helping setting the game up.

¨I always call him that, he always gets really offended¨ Jack grinned as they started the game. ¨I can imagine that. like, I ain't a kangaroo!¨ Shin imitated in an Australian accent. ¨Oh really, then what are you?¨ Jack grinned, with hope in his eyes. ¨I'm bunny, the eastern bunny¨ Shin laughed. and Jack smiled.

Shin was still there. and things were coming back. even though he doesn't notice it himself yet.
