"Vampire queen?" Fionna questioned
"It's a long story" Marshall responded
Fionna frowned at the non-answer she had just received but before she could comment further gumball came running in
"Fionna" he nodded acknowledging the new presence in the room
"I would like to address queen marceline's predicament." Gumball stated and once he was sure he had gained the full attention of everyone else in the room he continued.
"As we all know queen marceline comes from a land called Ooo" gumball droned on
Marshall snickered noticing marceline flinching every fine the word queen was mentioned
"But we have now found out that Ooo is a parallel universe!" Gumball cheered
The piece of candy was disappointed when all he received was a nod and a muttered cool. Still he continued
"However, I am unaware when marceline will be able to return, if she returns at all."
Marceline froze.
Marshall watched the expressions play across her face as she tried to comprehend the news
Shock.sadness.dispair.loneliness. Blank.
"Alright." She answered surprising Marshall with the fact that her voice was smooth and calm.
Interesting he thought to himself
Then prince gumball took marceline's hand before laying a kiss on it.
Not as interesting Marshall thought Half growling
"We would love for u to stay at the candy palace, I understand ur predicament and promise absolute hospitality"
Totally boring. Marshall lee felt sth inside of him snap
"Marceline." He spoke
If marceline said that he sounded sexy at that moment, she wouldn't be totally lying
"Stay with me instead. The windows are already blocked out anyways."
Marceline pulled her hand out of gumballs
"He's right gumball, besides this place is a little to pink." She turned him down politely
Immediately she was pulled out of the room by a smirking Marshall lee.
To say fionna was frowning would have been an understatement
"Wait!" Gumball called out but they were already too far gone.
He turned to address Fionna only to realize she had left as well the candy prince sighed collapsing into his chair
"Have u told them sir?" A voice addressed
"No they left before I could" he answered
"That's unfortunate, would u like some tea sir?"
"Yes that would be wonderful peppermint maid"

"Woah woah where are we going marsh?"
"To my place duh" the undead king answered as if it was the most obvious thing in the world
"Now if I could only get an umbrella"
"U mean this?" Marceline held up a black umbrella "I swiped it on the way here"
Marshall laughed he was liking her already
