iMessage: Dude still waiting for this chick to get ready, u know what girls are like lol.
Be there ASAP bro
Sent 7.16pmI rolled my eyes in annoyance and placed my phone back angrily on the table. I had been waiting a little over half an hour at the Craft Bar for my childhood friend Dom to arrive and was growing impatient.
I fidgeted with my buttoned polo shirt whilst having a quick glance around the room. The lights were dim and the music was edgy while people socialised and drank together on this Saturday evening. I noticed a young girl in all black suddenly approach my table with a small smile before taking a note pad and pen out of her pocket.
"Would you like a drink Sir?" She asked awaiting my reply and I watched her timid frame as a guy walking past gave her a slap on her behind, laughing to his friends in the process causing her to shift forward a little, her eyes filled with anger and rage. She couldn't have been over 21.
I could see the embarrassment in her face and without hesitation I stood up and shouted.
"Dude, not cool." The guy instantly turned and frowned before holding his hands up in defeat and turning back round to laugh with his friends."It's okay Sir, I'm use to it. I don't let it bother me anymore." She lied as a hint of red covered her cheeks as I took in her features. Soft blonde hair, eyes the colour of the sea and skin pale but radiant.
"Can I get you that drink?" She asked, distracting me from my thoughts and I nodded, still annoyed at the fact she could brush something off so easily.
"2 bottles of Heineken and take this as a tip." I smiled warmly, handing over a 50 dollar bill. Her eyes widened in disbelief and I knew I had made her night with my generosity when her lips curved into a smile before she walked back towards the bar.
I hadn't realised I was watching her movements until I felt a hard slap on my shoulder and was being pulled into a even harder chest.
"Leo my man." Dom greeted and I rolled my eyes at his lateness but I was use to it by now. I pulled away and looked over at his side where the woman we met at the club the other night, Angela who Dom had gone home with stood with a stone cold face.
She was the one who had introduced me to Louise and I had a feeling that she knew what went on a couple of weeks back.
I gestured for them to the seats opposite and thanked the Lord that she hadn't dragged Louise along with her, I don't think I would have coped with her presence.
"So what kept you two away so long that I had to sit here for 45 minutes by myself-wait I don't want to know." I grimaced knowing full well what they had been up to to make them late and with the smug look on Dom's face, he knew I knew too.
"You had your chance last week bro, how is Louise anyway?" Dom frowned, snaking a hand around his date. I instantly saw her eyes avert to me with anger.
"Leo here didn't even take her number." She spoke with bitterness like she was the one I hadn't called after the night before and I couldn't help but laugh inside at her support for her friend. I hear Dom scoff in the background and I kick him under the table until I hear a grunt.
"Me and Louise left it on good terms, I told her I wasn't looking for a relationship." I spoke with a calm tone.
"What a shame." I hear her say until i drop my eyes towards the drinks in front of me which had just been placed down by the young waitress.
