So, of course, a book-club needs rules or it'll go crazy. I hope these rules aren't too strict.
1. Tell me before a week starts if you wont be able to participate in the week's event. Not only will it help me, it will also be fair to those who are actually taking part. If you don't do that, I'm afraid you'll get a strike.
2. When reviewing books, do not be rude. If you don't like it, be polite about it.
3. If you get four strikes, you will be permanently demoted to a guest.
4. Guests will only be able to participate in certain events, but, if they haven't been demoted, they will be allowed to become a member at any time and members can become a guest at any time.
5. Use this as an opportunity to get your story out there! I don't mean plaster a link to your story all over the comments, but, send me messages asking if your story can be in one of the events.
6. Because I am the owner of this book club (Poppy here) I will not be allowed to enter my story into any of the competitions, because, you know, "favouritism".
7. If you miss one week without telling me you wont be able to do the event, I'm afraid your story will not be used for any events until you make up for it. Also, if you have to miss an event and you tell me, your story still wont be used, sadly.
8. If you're not in Britain, tell me and I'll either message you personally or put when the time for your country, for the event, on here before the Event starts
Tokens
So... What are tokens, you may be asking.
They're for competitions and reviewing. For example:
The three books event will give you three tokens if you review all books, two if you review two and one if you review one,
The tournament event will give you eighteen tokens if you win, etc.
If you get the highest amount of tokens, your story will be featured on the bookclub! It will be included in most events for a month.
