Matt's POV

Chapter 18      

"What the hell, man? No way nuh-uh. I will not go with that squeaky-voiced-flirty-cousin of Bree's." I complained to Ty.

We've been arguing back and forth all day since Bree declared Leila as my date for tomorrow's dance and as the one who will wear my jersey. Not.

I don't want to go with her for three reasons: One, she's noisy as hell. Her voice is always high pitched! She's blabbering for hours and hours. I think my ears are gonna blow with her voice. I don't know if I was the only one here who noticed cause' Tyler and Bree doesn't seem bothered about it. So annoying.

Two, she's too flirty. But the problem is, she's not flirting with me! I've been used to girls falling all over their feet with my charm. But Leila? Nope. I can see her flirt with other guys when we go out, winking and all that flirty moves. She seems attracted to guys who have girlfriends though. When I flirt with her, she just ignores me. It's crazy. I'm Matthew James. The Matthew James for Christ's sake. And Leila's hot and all that. Of course she is, she's Bree's cousin. That family has one hell of a genes! They all look so ridiculously gorgeous. Hell, even her mom is hot! 

Okay, Matt. What the F? You think Bree's mom is hot? God. Okay, okay. She is really beautiful though. 

Mrs. Cambridge looks like an angel sent from heaven. She has these amazing eyes that's just like Bree's and her hair is slightly wavy and looks so soft. I really like it when she calls me 'little Matty' back then. But that doesn't apply now cause you know, I'm big now. And it's not just my muscles that got bigger. Wink*. 

Okay enough about that. 

Where was I? Oh yeah, Leila. Well Leila looks exactly like Bree. I mean not exactly but they have crazy similarities. Brunette, pretty eyes, petite but has very long legs and has this porcelain doll-like skin. In short, Leila is this flirty, almost slutty version of Bree. 

She dresses like it's always summer and she's headed to the beach, another thing I don't like about her. Because of how she dresses, there are pricks who always ogle about her. I mean, every time we go out, she flirts with them wearing her super fitted and short skirts. And when I look at her, she has this disgusted look in her face. What the heck was that? 

"Would you rather pick random girl, man? A girl from school? Let me tell you, Leila is perfect for you. Cause one, she doesn't seem to like you very much so she's safe from you and two, she doesn't go to our school which means, she's safe from your crazy girls and you're safe from expectations." Ty explained. 

It's so annoying. I know Tyler is right, so fine. I give in. Doesn't seem like I have a choice here either. 

This past few years I got used to attend dances with Bree as a date. Well she has two dates actually. Me and Tyler. I never ask other girls as my date. I'd rather go solo. Cause' I know they'll expect for more and we all know I can't give them that. Don't get me wrong, I love girls. Especially their girly parts but I'm not into relationships. I'm just having fun for now. No strings attach. I hate drama. 

Also, we refuse to let other guys come near Bree cause' let's face it, I'm a guy. And I know guys. I deal with a bunch of them everyday. In our locker rooms where guys talk, I can't seem to imagine letting one of them have Bree. I mean listening to all of their crazy stories about what they do to girls. I sometimes take part of it. I mean, hello, I'm Matthew James. Girls throw themselves all over me all the time.
