The girl was walking across the street, a friend on each arm, when the man decided that she was the one. She had brown straight hair, simple brown eyes and a short body that would fit the description that he was given just hours before.
"Are you sure that it's her, Derek?" The man's taller companion had questioned him.
Derek's eyes followed the girl as he spoke, "Of course I'm sure."
"You can't afford to make any mistakes, especially after last time. Boss will kill you if you mess up again." The taller man adjusted his briefcase as he replied to Derek.
"I know, I know. You don't have to remind me again." Derek responded with annoyance. He knew the risks and the consequences if he failed his mission to get the girl.
The companion's answer was short, "Fair enough. Get the girl by tonight or else."
"Will do." Derek replied casually. He wasn't scared because he knew he could get the girl with little inconvenience, or at least he hoped so. He took one last look at the girl before she turned the corner with her friends. This was going to be simple.
