Jack.

He was a little 7 year old boy. He was kind, brave, and he wasn't really afraid of anything. He was a believer. He believed in Santa, the tooth fairy, The Easter bunny, Sandman, and even Pitch, but Pitch was the one he liked most.

Pitch was the one he admired, the one who he loved and though was cool, but he just wished that Pitch had noticed him, but of course he didn't.

He spent his days looking out the window, hoping he'd see nightmares trailing along, but he never came.

On Jacks birthday, turning 8, he had a chance to make a wish. And he wanted to make sure that that wish would come true.

All his friends came over, bringing presents, with a wide smile on their face. "Happy birthday Jack!"

Jack just rolled his eyes a bit, ignoring them for the most part of his party. When it was finally time to eat the cake, he smiled, running over to the kitchen, making sure that he was the first one to be there.

The cake sat down on the kitchen table, one side was empty with blue and white icing on it, and a couple of small snowflake figures on it, and then black icing taking over half of the cake, with a tall Pitch figure on it; He didn't know that this was going to be his future.

When his friends saw the cake, you could see the disgust on their face.

"Eww, who's that?"

"Why is pitch on your cake?"

"Do you like him?"

Jack just ignored them and closed his eyes, making his one and only wish:
I wish, that Pitch would notice me, and that we would become good friends.
