Chapter 3||The Meeting

>>Natsu's POV 🐉

My eyes fluttered open and I saw a room, no, more like a dungeon. The floors were made out of old stone, bars were in front of me and a bunk bed was beside me. The room was dark, only a single light shone through the bars from a torch not so far from here. I decided to light the place up with my own fire.

"Huh?" I muttered to myself as I attempted to create fire. Only, there wasn't any.

"Why isn't fire appearing?!" I panicked. "Happy! Happy!"

I didn't receive any reply from him. That's when I realized I was alone.

"Wait till I get my hands on them..." I muttered, clenching my fist.

I heard a rattling sound in front of me. I turned around and saw a chain by my feet that was connected to a wall. I tried breaking it but it wouldn't work.

A light and the sound of heavy metal approached.

"Here is the dragon," said a soldier.

"Who is surprisingly human," said another.

"Oi! Where's Happy?! Where did you take him to?!" I yelled, trying to pull the iron bars open but I got shocked and was sent flying back.

"The blue cat? Her Highness took it to the infirmary. As you see, your wounds should be gone. Her Highness insisted on healing you," replied the first soldier.

I sighed of relief. At least Happy was in safe hands.

"Be careful he could be dangerous," said a rough female voice.

"Captain!" cried the two soldiers.

A scarlet-haired woman appeared beside them. She was wearing armor with a... skirt? And a hella lot of magic power too.

"Orders from Her Highness. Bring him up to her in anti-magic chains," she ordered.

"Right away," they said and unlocked the cell door. They came in and unchained the chains from the wall but not me.

"What am I, a dog?" I growled.

"Quiet!" the first soldier boomed.

We walked up a lot of stairs and soon reached a huge door.

"Huge..." I muttered.

"Princess Lucy, it's me, Erza Scarlet," the scarlet haired captain said as she knocked on the door.

"Come in," I heard a soft, delicate voice. It sounded familiar, like when Happy and I got shot down.

"Alright, dragon. Be prepared," said Erza and the soldiers gave her the chain.

"Natsu Dragneel to the stand!"

>>Erza's POV🔪

"Natsu Dragneel to the stand!" I announced and the doors opened. Princess Lucy was sitting on the large golden throne with Captain Gajeel of the First Squad and Vice-Captain Panther Lily on her left. On her right was... Carla and the blue cat? Oh right, we made a deal with it.

"How do you know my name?" Natsu whispered.

"You'll find out soon enough," I whispered back and walked towards Her Highness.

"Natsu!" yelled the blue cat.

"Happy!" he yelled back.

What a weird name to call the cat.

"Captain Erza Scarlet of the FFM, please state the crimes of Natsu Dragneel," Princess Lucy calmly said.

"Yes, Your Highness!" I cried. "Reports of murder and burning of villages have been made all throughout Magnolia. All these murders are reported as burnt to death. Many have been injured and most of these injuries are severe burns."

"State your defense, Natsu Dragneel," Princess Lucy ordered.

I turned around and looked at Natsu. He looked hesitant to say anything at the same time he looked enchanted. I fake-coughed to catch his attention and it worked.

"U-uhh... They were accidents..." he muttered.

"Sure they were accidents," I heard Gajeel mutter.

"Watch it, birdbrain!" Natsu yelled.

"What about it, Flame Brain!" Gajeel yelled back.

I saw Princess Lucy sigh and she gestured me to stop them. I nodded and summoned two swords, the tips pointing at their necks.

"No more outbursts, understood?" I glared at them.

"Y-Yes..."

"Now, let us continue."
