Life Hates Me, I Swear.

Chapter 4 (saying goodbye)

Today we are going to leave for the lake. I know! A whole day earlier. Sigh... "Aw man! I'm going miss you em!" Allies says hugging me tight. "I'm going to miss all of you guys too!" I say hugging her back "we will see you in two weeks!" Kyle says hugging me, after pulling allie off me. "Can't wait!" I grin "gonna miss ya little Em!" Mase teases fluffing up my hair. I sigh and full it up into a high ponytail. 

Today I decided to wear my comfy black jeans, my maroon singlet top, my leather jacket, a big scarf since it's a bit cold (crazy weather!) and my combat boots. "You ready em?" My uncle asks "yup, you guys go ahead!" I call back. " this is it! I'm going to die. Adiós amigos!" I say dramatically saluting my friends! They laugh and wave goodbye as I climb into my car. "Drive safe! Text me when you get there!" Allie calls as they wave bye. "Thanx Alls cya!!" I wave and pull out of our drive way and speed to catch up with my Auntie and uncle.

It's been five hours of driving. My neck and legs are sore and I'm starving!!! We finally pull up to a food court. I park my car and jump out, stretching my legs and arms. "We're only an hour away Em but we thought we would just grab dinner now." Uncle says walking up to me with Auntie Jenns holding his hand. "Okay sounds good" I say 

After getting a foot long sub and a raspberry and Coke mix, from subway, I'm following my Auntie and Uncle again. Stuffing my face as I drive. Once I'm done I turn up my music loud, Lorde booms through my massive speakers I installed in the back of my car. It sounds amazing. I ignore the stares of people giving me dirty looks for having my music loud and speed up. I pass Uncle Jay, who toots at me. I look back in my rear-view mirror laughing as he gives me the finger for passing him. My uncle and Aunty are way to cool. 

About half an hour later my phone tells me that we have arrived. I pull up into the long driveway and head towards the house. I take the car park closest to the door and jump out. "Oh my goodness Em!!"my Aunty exclaims "your driving is dangerous!! You were speeding the whole time!"

I just grin at her. "anyway we should start unpacking, take your bag and choose a room if you want." My Uncle winks at me. I grab my duffel bag and other big suitcase and follow them into the house. its huge! We walk into a massive lounge, with a massive t.v. YESS! we can watch the rugby game on Sunday!  I walk up to the doors at the end of the lounge, it opens into a huge kitchen... after looking around i head up the stairs with my bag. 

The first two doors Aunty and Uncle say will be the parents rooms since they have bathrooms. I walk to the next room, it has two bunk beds so I'm guessing that's for Hunters Twin sisters.... I walk to the end of the hallway and go up another set of stairs, where there's two doors opposite each other, I open the first one. its got a big double bed and a little door in the corner which has a little bathroom in. I leave my bags on the double bed and walk out to check out the other room. Its pretty much the same but my room has massive windows looking over the lake opposite my bed. 

After unpacking i go downstairs to see if there's any food... aunty and uncle are sitting at the kitchen bench drinking a coffee. "Ohh did you make me one?" i ask my aunty points to a big steamy cup of coffee. "Thanks i grin into my coffee. 

"You all unpacked?" she asks "Yup!" I reply popping the p, "just gotta get my food from the car..." "Food?" my uncle asks "Yeah I grabbed some junk food to stash in my room." i grin "Of course!" he laughs "So what you want to do for the rest of the day?" he asks. i look at my phone time. its 4:47 pm...."Hmm not sure maybe I will go for a run, check out the shops or something?"  "Okay your aunty and I are going to head out to a restaurant, you want to come?" he asks "Nah I'll stay, have an explore around...when do the others come?" I sigh at the thought. "Tomorrow morning...you will be nice Em. We are all going to go out for lunch, you brought a dress right?" asks my Aunty.

"Uh...I think so...Why?" I ask, "Wear it tomorrow, the place we are going is fancy!" she grins "Ugh. okay..." I sigh "Right we will see ya later em." my Uncle smiles, taking Aunty Jenns hand leading her out the door "Bye!" I smile "Bye!" they call back.

I walk up to my room and change into some black Nike shorts, a Black Sports bra and a white tank over top. I throw on my Black and White Nikes and head out the door stuffing my phone and the key Aunty gave my into my arm band I press play on my music, put my earphones in and jog off. I love running. it helps clear my mind. when I moved in with Aunty and Uncle I was a mess. I would have panic attacks all the time. Running would help. I would run until I felt numb. 

I ran out towards the shops. After about half an hour I decide to get some food from the little diner. I walk in turning of my music and pull out my card from my phone. "Hello, how can I help you?" say a really good looking guy in behind the counter "Uh, hey...weird question are you still making coffee?" I smile "Yeah I can make you one." he laughs "But seriously, who gets coffee at..." he looks at his watch "5:37!" I laugh, "Uh..yeah..me?" I grin "Anything else?" he chuckles "Um...a bowl of wedges please" I smile. after paying I go take a seat at the table in the corner. 

I pull out my phone and send a text to Mase, Allie and Kyle in our group chat, saying that we got here and it has WiFi and a coffee maker so I should be okay...

"Here's your coffee." says the hot guy "Hey I... ah...just got off work so I was wondering if I could sit with you?" he asks "Yeah sure" I smile "I'm Dustin by the way" he smiles sticking his hand out. "Ember" I smile back shaking his hand. "So you just here for a holiday?" he asks "Yeah me and my family and my Aunty and Uncles friends..." I sigh "You don't want to be here?" he asks "Uh Yeah its okay but not really for four weeks...." I say sipping my flat white "ohhhh!" I groan "This is amazing!"

"Thanks" he laughs "I'm seriously coming back for more coffee!" I say taking another sip "I'm glad to hear that, Hey maybe I can show you around sometime?" Dustin asks "Yeah that would be really cool!" I grin "How old are you?" he asks "Seventeen, eighteen next month, how bout you?" I smile "Twenty nine." he replies. I choke on my coffee. Whoa I knew he looked older but twenty nine!  He bursts out laughing "I'm joking I'm only twenty one!" he laughs "Oh my god! that's not funny!" i say hitting his shoulder "I totally believed you!" I laugh 

After having a awesome time talking (laughing half the time) with Dustin. And eating my wedges, which were amazing by the way. We switched numbers and I staring walking home. "Hey you want a ride?" Dustin asks pulling up in his very nice Ute. "Nah I'm good thanks its not to far" I smile "you sure?" "yeah, thanks though, I will text you later to find a time to catch up again?" I ask "Awesome!  Cya later Ember!" he grins 

By the time I get home I'm really tired so I head upstairs have a shower and jump into bed...
