The next morning i wake up at 8:00. I slip on my comfy ripped jeans and my favourite black baggy top. After putting on some eye liner and mascara I throw my hair into a messy bun. I walk downstairs with my phone, turn on the coffee machine, as I send a text to Dustin asking to hang out by the lake tomorrow afternoon.
Dustin: Hey, Ember! that sounds great! mind if i bring my friend Ryan?
Me: Awesome! Yeah thats fine :)
Dustin: See You tomorrow, Whats the address by the way?
Me: 29 Parkway road, its the long driveway...
Dustin: Thanx! ;)
"You look happy..." I look up to see my Aunty walking into the kitchen dressed in a Blue and White summer dress that ends just above her knee. "Hey, you look nice" I smile "Thanks Em, So who's the guy your texting?" she asks with an excited expression on her face "Ah...W-What guy?" I mumble "I'm not dumb Em! Who is it???" she grins at me "Dustin," I explain how we met yesterday and that he's coming over with his friend tomorrow "Oh so I get to meet him!" she squeals "Uh yeah but we're just friends! seriously!" "Ughhhh Emberrrrr!" she whines like a little kid "What?!" I ask
"Why do you always put guys in the friends zone like instantly?! Mase, Kyle and now Dustin!" "Okay firstly eww! Mase And Kyle are like my brothers! Second You should be happy about that! and third I promise I won't do that with Hunter!" "Really?!" she asks surprised "Yeah he can go straight to the 'Jerk Zone' you know for the people I don't like..." "Ugh Ember you got me excited!" i just laugh at her, and start making coffee.
After coffee and muesli I decide to go grab a doughnut from the Diner where Dustin works, I grab my keys, call out to aunty, and jump into my car. It roars to life. I smile, man I just love the new muffler I put on. the sound is just so amazing! Turning my music up really loud I click shuffle on my phone brother by smashproof feat. Gin Wigmore comes on. Man I love this song. I pull up to the diner grabbing my phone I jump out of my car and lock it as I walk into the diner.
"Em!" Dustin grins "Nice ride!" "Thank you!" I grin back. I order a box of doughnuts and pay. "So I will see ya tomorrow then!" I smile "Yeah sounds awesome!" "Sweet, I better go..." I sigh "Our uh my aunty and uncles friends are coming soon..." I pout "Aww, you dont like them?" Dustin gives me a sympathetic look "Nah they're cool but there son who's a year older than me is so annoying" I groan "Probably because he likes you" Dustin grins leaning on the counter wiggling his eyebrows at me. "No! I doubt that last time I saw him we were like 13 and 14 and he locked me in the bathroom for three whole fucking hours!" I growl
Dustin bursts out laughing. "That is SO not funny!" I say punching his shoulder lightly. "No you're right...its hilarious!" he says chuckling. I pout at him. "Well have fun...just ring if you need company I get off at like 12" "thanks, but we have to go out for lunch at 12:30..." I sigh "Anyways I will see you tomorrow! Around 1;00?" "Defiantly! Just ring me if you need me to come free you from the bathroom!" Dustin laughs as I walk out the door "Egg! I'm traumatized from that!" I laugh
I jump into my car stuffing a doughnut in my mouth. I plug my phone in and hit shuffle again. It comes on with YOLO by Adam levine & Kendrick Lamar, i turn it up and pull out of the car park. Speeding with the windows down i smile. Driving is so calming. I do a drift onto our gravel driveway speeding up. i skid into my parking spot. i look over to see Amy and her Husband Jonathan Hugging Aunty Jenns and Uncle Jay. as i jump out I spot hunter. Man! He is H.O.T! "Ember! oh my! you've grown up so much!" Amy says coming over and hugging me "Its nice to see you again!" i smile "Hey Ember!" Jonathan smiles giving me a hug.
"Jamie, Jordana!" Amy calls. Two little blonde girls come up to her side. "This is Ember, I'm not sure if you remember her you were only about six or seven last time you saw her" "Hey" i smile "Man you guys have grown! Your both so pretty!" they both giggle "Thank you, your really pretty!" Jordana says "Yeah i wish i looked like you!" jamie says "Aw nah you two are so beautiful!" i give them a hug then stand up as the rap from downtown starts playing on my phone. "Uh sorry...one second" i say grabbing my phone "What up mase?" i answer ignoring the glare i get from aunty for answering
"Um...Ember....i...uh" "Is everything okay?" i ask worried "AlliesPregnantAndIDontKnowWhatToDoImToScaredToTellKyle." he lets out in one breath "WHAT!!!!" i yell causing everyone to look over at me "JOKING!" Mase cracks up laughing "Man i want to see your face right now" he says still laughing hard "That is not freaking funny! Man you gave me a heart attack! Now what do you want i have to go?" i groan "Nothing just being an ass...HAHAHA EM That was priceless!" i hear kyle laughing "Guys! That was so mean!" i laugh with them "anyways i better go will talk to you's later!" i sigh "Bye em!" i hear Allie laugh "See ya Weirdos"
"Sorry about that..." i say turning back to were everyone is talking "It's fine" amy smiles "Hunter say hello." Jonathan nudges his son "Hi, Ember." hunter says in this deep sexy guy voice...wait.no.not sexy! god em you're so weird! "Hey" i smile tightly, shaking his hand.
Hunter's P.O.V
"Hey" she replies, shaking my hand. Man shes so beautiful. I couldn't believe it was her when she sped up in her car. I wonder who Mase is... "Ember show Hunter his room" Her Aunty Says. Ember sighs "This way..." i follow her up two sets of stairs. She points to the door on the left. "Thanks, so...uh how have you been?" i ask "Fine thank you...How bout you?" she replies not fully looking at me.
Man I'm such a dick! I liked her when we were younger so i being an idiot was so mean to her. "Good...um..well i guess i'll unpack..." she gives me a small smile and walks into the only other door on this level...so we are opposite each other....hmmm i could use this....
After i finish unpacking I'm about to go downstairs when i hear giggling coming from Embers room. I knock on the door "Co...come...i-in..." Ember says still laughing. God i love her laugh....
