Driving into California

We started to see houses, grass and buildings,finally exiting the dry Land's.

"City of Lights" They call it, my 2nd time in California, my first was...before all this started to happen. We drove into the city of buildings, of course, I was amazed ,the roads were wider, much more people were walking on the sidewalks and taller buildings. I came from a city of a little town , and, very dry.

"We'll have to find your cousins apartment buildings and we'll stay some nights there"Dad said

"Yes!" I whispered to myself, I couldn't wait to go walk in these streets, meet new people and go into these beautiful building's. But of course, I would get lost and my parents are over protective heh.

My dad called my cousin, he talked about everything and what had happened , also where he lived.

And I also finally noticed something.

"KADEY WHERE ARE YOUR PARENTS?!"I said worried to her.

"I don't think they're alive...."

"Oh...um"

'This escalated quickly' I thought.

I patted her on the back and went back to my phone like nothing happened, I hope she'll be okay.

We stopped outside an apartment building, it looked like it had 10 stories, pretty tall.
We went in the building , the stairs were in the far left, me, my sis and friend were about to run up the stairs to my cousins apartment until my dad said-

"Hey, wait, me and your mom are going to get food for the night "

"Oh,okay"

"Just knock on his door"

"Ah" I nodded my head, with that, my mom and dad started to walk out of the building. I saw a group of people walking near the building I'm in. Looks like an angry mob, I didn't really worry because my parents were already gone and we would be safe in the building.

Ha

Well I thought.
