- C h a p t e r F o u r - Monstrous Mind

A monster is any creature, usually found in legends or horror fiction, that is often hideous and may produce fear or physical harm by its appearance and/or its actions. The word "monster" derives from Latin monstrum, an aberrant occurrence, usually biological, that was taken as a sign that something was wrong within the natural order.

The word usually connotes something wrong or evil; a monster is generally morally objectionable, physically or psychologically hideous, and/or a freak of nature. It can also be applied figuratively to a person with similar characteristics like a greedy person or a person who does horrible things

So said every other website.

I haven't been able to sleep last night, I mean who could after what happened last night? Well that question would be so much easier if I actually knew what happened last night. So ever since I got home at 1:00 in the morning because the only thing I could recall is "monster".

The word slithered over me the whole night. It was just eerie and weird.

As my mind drifted back onto the computer, Nathan barged through my door. Not even he was going to take my mind off of this.

"You're gonna be late"

What is he talking about? Quickly glancing over to the wall clock, it was past quarter past eight

What is he talking about? Quickly glancing over to the wall clock, it was past quarter past eight. Jesus the last time I looked at the clock it was 2:00am.

"Fashionably"

"That is if you want to go...after last-"

"Hey do you think this looks good on me" I interrupt him.

Nathan glared at me as if I were stupid. In all honestly if everyone wants to forget last night ever happened, I am like totally down. However some of them, like my brother, won't forget then that leaves me freaked out of my mind trying to think of a logical excuse.

Maybe the bears are back out? I did hear growling...okay maybe not.

"Then I'll drop you off" He grumbled, turning back out into the hallway.

"Great...I just need to find my headphones" I answer, scrounging around my room for the headphones.

The last time I had them was when I went for the run...in Scott's house. They were on when I went to go to the bathroom. But I didn't go to the bathroom I went into Scott's room!

Jesus what if I left them in there. I'm already still pretty sure he knew I was in there, and I'm still confused why he couldn't use the front door. How did he even reach the second floor from outside?

I followed Nathan into the hallway, and we separated from the stairwell and the bathroom. A deep familiar voice echoed through the stairwell. I should have known Nathan wasn't gonna drive me...
