Chapter Five

I walked into the coffee shop. My plane leaves in a hour. I walk to the counter. My sister was standing there.

"What do you want?" She asks ignoring that it's me.

"I'll take a French Latte!" I reply.

"Okay it'll be out soon," she says.

I sit on the stool waiting for it to come out.

"FRENCH LATTE!" a person yells.

I get up and go get it. I look at my sister as I leave she glances at me quickly then looks back. I go to the airport. After I go through the scanners I wait for my plane to be announced.

"FLIGHT FOR NEW YORK!" Is yelled over the loud speaker.

I get up and board my plane. This is the second time in less than a week I've been on a plane. After takeoff I take out my laptop and start playing games. After a while I fell asleep. Finally the plane was landing and I got off I found my stuff. I walk to a cab and asked him to take me home. I pay the driver and get out.
I walk in the door and yell,"I'm back!"

No one answered. I realized my brother wasn't here so I went to my room. I dropped my stuff on my bed. I receive a text.

From: Louise
Hey sorry I ignored you I was just trying to protect both of us. Sorry but I think it's best if we don't talk anymore. I really wish it wasn't like this! But it is so this is goodbye!

I read it and don't reply. I go downstairs and decide to go to see Tyler.

Once I get to his house I knock on the door. He answers,"Lillie you're back!"

"Yeah I got back about an hour ago," I sigh.

"Oh okay do you want to come in?" He asks.

"Um sure," I say, unsure.

He moves out of the way and I come in. Then he shuts the door. We go to the living room and sit on his big couch.

"So..." He starts.

"What've you been doing while I was gone?" I ask starting small talk.

"Not really much of anything, Bryan been asking about you," he says.

"What's he asking?" I say not really caring.

"Where you were. And other stupid stuff," he shrugs.

I nod. We sit in a very awkward silence.

"Lillie," he pauses,"about are phone convo?"

"Yeah?" I ask looking at him.

"Well you never really said if you forgave me?" He states.

"Yeah I know, but I did say you have to earn it back. And trust me that takes a lot to gain back." I say cracking my fingers out of boredom.

"Yeah I remember," he says.

"I thought you would," I remark.

"I swear I've heard that from somewhere!" He says.

"Yeah speech class!" I replied.

"Oh yeah I remember that!" He says smiling.

"Yea I hated that class," I shrugged.

"Everyone does!" He laughs.

I got a text.

From: Caleb
Lillie I saw your stuff was at home and I'm guessing you went out! But you need to come home ASAP!

I looked at Tyler,"I got to go, see you later!"

"Bye," he says and leads me to the door.

I run home. Once I get inside I go to find my brother.

"You said something urgent was happening!" I tell him.

"Yeah trust me it's urgent," he says softly.

"Caleb are you going to tell me!" I basically scream at him.

"Oh yeah probably should do that," he paused,"Th Aireotics know that all the Creatures are faking deaths!"
