Christmas Special

Rileys POV

-

"Get in the car Riley, its time to go. We want to be there early!" My mother Topanga exclaimed. I pounded my boots against the snow.

I love that sound. I twirled in circles gracefully. Specks of snow landed on my small nose, leaving me to smile greatly. The sky was light blue, just the right color I liked.

"Coming!" I took one last twirl with my brother Auggie, and raced him over to the girl. I am seventeen, but I will never stop myself from dancing on snow.

Aw, Christmas. My favorite time of the year. Presents, food, Christmas stories, time with family. And... Time with Lucas.

The Friars were a big part of me and my parents life. They came over to our place, and we would come to theirs. Lucas, the son of my fathers best friend is my boyfriend. Oh, they don't know yet. I'm not allowed to date anyway until I'm done with collage. The fact that we are still dating for over a year now was due to us seeing each other a lot because of the great relation with both of our parents.

I carassed the sparkly, red box. The green silk ribbon tied in a bow, wrapped around it. My gift for Lucas. I closed my eyes and dremt about him. My heart drummed to the thought of him. His lips. Oh how I could kiss them all day.

"Stop day dreaming Riley! We're here!" Auggie said, while poking my dimples.

"Oh, okay." I said sheepily.

As we got out of the car, I jumped on the snow again, always in awe about how the snow shined from the sun. That's when you know your Christmas will be great. I jumped onto the welcome matt. Pressing the bell, a smile plastered on my face.

The door opened, to reveal Lucas' little brother, Glenn.

"Riley! Is Auggie here?" He gleemed.

"He's bringing some of the presents here." I played with his hair, oh how it reminded me of Lucas'.

"Hey Riley.." I heard a deep voice speak.

"Lucas!"
