Walking past trees in the darkness was acually seriously creeping me out as my imagination came up with scary encounters waiting around every corner.
"Stop being such a baby Crystal." I whispered to myself.
Taking a deep breath I continued walking, looking for a big sturdy tree to sleep in for the night because there is no way I'm sleeping on the ground just to get eaten by a bear or something while I'm "sleeping".I suddenly hear leaves rustling and a twig snapping from somewhere behind me in the vast darkness.
For a split second I freeze in fear, I look up and see a huge tree about 400 metres away from me, without a second thought I bolt and start running towards the tree praying that what ever is behind me isn't fast enought to catch me first.I finally get to the tree, out of breath I gather my last bit of strength and pull myself up and start climbing higher, then it hit me, What if this thing that I heard can climb trees?
Deciding I'm up high enough i hang my bags on small branches and sit back to catch my breath while my eyes scan the forest floors for any possible living thing or creature that I might of encountered...

My stomach growls and I laugh at myself.Wow, I haven't eaten since this morning and I'm actually quite hungry, luckily my eyes have adjusted to the dark and I reach for my red backpack which my mom packed me.
I take out a banana and water and eat while listening to all the insects and owls making their own unique sounds, If it weren't for the fact that I'm stranded in some place all alone I might of even considered that its gorgoues out here.Yawning, I grap my blanket out of my bagpack and cover myself and soon enough my eyelids grew heavy and I fell asleep...
