Chapter 20

One week since Spencer had gone. Its just wasn't the same without him.

It was thursday and i was getting my results i went by bus to fetch it.

I opened my evelope.

I gasped.

Theres nobody i wanted to tell more.

"Hello"

"Hi Spens"

"Zo how are you?"

I was almost in tears but i held back "Spens i got a 95% pass."

"Wow thats great, congratulations!" he said.

"Thank you" i muttered sadly

"Hey are you okay" he said from hearing my sad voice.

"Yes im okay "

I smiled and said bye and hung up.

When i got home i got really emotional. I started to think of my parents and wished they could seen me acheive my dreams.

I began to cry alot.

My phone was ringing and it was Karen.

"Congratulations Sis" she said screaming with excitement.

"Thanks Karen"

"My cuz phoned and said you sounded upset."

"No im okay Karen just thinking of mom and dad"

"Aww honey im sure they are proud of you and remember they're in your heart"

"Yes they are" i said with a smile.

"Mom and dad said to invite you over for supper"

"Thats sweet of Mr and Mrs Roberts"

"Is 5pm okay?

"Thats fine Karen,and thank you"

I was ready by 4:50 waiting for Karen.

"Zoe" my granny called

"Yeah" i said.

"Can we talk when you get back?"

"Yes we can"

A few minutes i saw a car hoot by the driveway i went up and saw Justin and Karen.

I opened the door and crept in.

"Hey guys" i said with a smile.

"Hey Zo Zo" Justin said

"Hey sis" Karen said in a excited voice.

"Congrats Zo" Justin said.

"Thanks Just"

A couple minutes later we were at Karens house. We went in and i greeted Karen parents who both hugged me and congradulated me. I was so grateful for having met people like them.

Karens dad had cooked supper. He had made a indian delight by the name of breyani. For dessert there was chocolate ice.

After dinner Karen and i helped clean the dining room table. After that we went to the living which was gorgeous. There was a flat screen t.v with a home theatre system.

Even though i'd been in their house before but their house always amazed me.

Justin, Karen and i sat down and we watched some t.v.

"Oh before i forgot Zoe" Justin said and Karen switched off the tv.

Karen smiled at me.

"Theres a friend of mine who has a photography agency. Im going to get you an interview. Hope thats fine?

"Thank you so much Justin,that would be fine"

"Okay im going to call him in the morning and ask him to interview you and also also 95% is very so you have a good chance."

I felt like standing up and doing a happy dance but instead i smiled and nodded.

"Expect a call tomorrow Zo" Karen said with a smile.

An hour of talking and laughing Justin and Karen left me home.

It was 8pm and my granny was watching t.v.

"Hi" i greeted her.

"Hi" she said i took a seat across her.

"Zo im just wanna say im sorry. Im sorry for not being the granny you deserve. You're good child and should never have taken my evil daughter side. I now realise that shes just stealing my pension money and not paying the water bills. "

I just nodded.

" I should have been there for you when your parents died and i shouldn't have been selfish. Will you forgive me?" she said in tears.

I went over to her and gave a hug both of us in tears. "i forgive you gran"
