Chapter 8

The stranger that brought me home i didn't get his name. I was just so angry and upset that i didnt ask him.

When i got home i went into one of the rooms and put my earphones on and blasted the music even though i cried again the music made me feel so much better. It cleared my head and blocked out everything.

It was Thursday already and i wasn't feeling all that well,i had some serious abdominal pain but by the end of the day i felt better.

Friday came by so fast i woke up early, did my chores and went according to routine.

I had finished bathing when i heard a soft knock on the back door.

'who's there?' i said

' Hey Zoe,it's Ruthie' she said.

'Coming' i said from the room.

I opened the door for her. She had a huge smile plastered on her face. I gave her a small smile in return. Ruthie always managed to make me smile no matter the situation.

'Soooo' she said dragging the word.

'I gave her a confused look'

"Here" she said giving me a piece of paper.

I unfolded it.

"Dear zo,please please come to my 13th birthday party tomorrow,please,please :-D:-D.

I had completely forgot it was was Ruthies birthday tomorrow. Every year when her family has a party or even a gathering they always invited me.

"okay i'll come" i said.

"Thanks Zoe" she said giving me a big hug.

I gave a smile.After that she went with her mom to do shopping.

It was Saturday already and i woke up a bit late. I did my chores,had a bath. After drying my hair i straightend it. It was already afternoon just after 1 pm when i remembered to go wish Ruthie.

After spending a few minutes with Ruthie i went back to my house to get an outfit ready when i suddenly didn't feel like going with them to celebrate Ruthies birthday. I didn't feel like being around people,but i couldn't let the down.

It was already 5pm and i was ready. I chose a pair of skinny jeans with a long sleeve shirt and left my hair open.

I heard Ruthie call me.

"Zoe" she screamed

"Yes Ruthie" i said standing by the lounge window.

"Come over please if your ready" she said all excited.

"Okay" i said

Before going to Ruthies house i checked if i looked neat enough. When i got to Ruthies house everyone looked ready and excited. They wanted to take pictures as soon as i got there.

After the cellphone photography, Ruthies mom said that we should all get in the car. I had no idea where we were headed because every year it was different place,either a restaurant or sometimes they went to one of their close relatives. I didn't really asked.

The ride was quiet except for the CD that was playing in the car. I rested my head on the seat rest behind and shut my eyes.

"Zoe we're here" aunty Romy said.

It was abit dark when we stopped so i couldn't see where we were.

Oh boy!

We came to "the beach". The same beach where i had suicidal thoughts,the same beach i had come to just the other day.

We walked to Ruths aunt's house, Ruthie wanted to spend her evening with her aunt and cousin which was understandable.

We got to the apartment and i saw that some of Ruth's other cousins were there. I just greeted them and went and took a seat.

After they had sang for Ruthie and cut a cake for her. They began to eat. I didn't really feel like eating so i just drank some cooldrink. After they ate they began to neaten up so they could have a little disco.

I didn't feel like dancing or watching them dance i told Ruth and her mom that im taking a walk outside they said that it was fine.

I walked a few apartments away,i stopped and just stared at the beach just thinking about the other day at this very same beach. I kept watching the beach when i decided to go down.

I got into the elevator but the elevator stopped again and someone got in.
