"You look amazing," Maggie, my childhood friend, breathed. She had come over before the award show in order to help me with my make up. I was completely ignorant when it came to make up, so Maggie had come to the rescue with her expert skills.

I looked back at myself in the mirror, knowing that Maggie was overdoing it. I didn't look that great, not when I was going to be around super models and actresses all night.

Maggie had curled my long mousey brown hair and pinned half of it back, before covering my face with makeup. She had done a good job, my brown eyes seemed to sparkle against the soft pink eye shadow, not to mention how huge my eyelashes looked. My cheekbones seemed to look more defined, if that was even possible because without make up my cheekbones were always defined. My lips were a soft pink colour which made them look bigger and more pouty.

I ran my hands over the soft material of the dress, the one Catherine had said to my home earlier today. It was a deep blue, which helped in making me look more tanned. The dress hugged my curves, which I definitely had a lot of, with a square neckline and thin spaghetti straps. The dress ended just below my knees, making it seem extremely classy. I'd paired it with my favourite black heels and black clutch, ready to take on what ever the night had in store for me.

I was definitely nervous. The though of having to socialise with celebrities tonight making my stomach turn. I was a journalist, so I had been around celebrities before but I'd never been thrown in amongst them in such a blatant way.

I was also scared of having to talk information out of the Limitless band. I didn't know them that well at all, I'd heard a couple of songs here and there and they were good. I just never jumped onto the bandwagon and wrapped myself up in the hype that surrounded them. So the thought of having to draw personal information out of them tonight definitely made me anxious.

"I need to leave," I sighed, opening my purse and making sure my small notepad was in there. I never went anywhere without it, I never knew when inspiration would strike.

"Don't forget your keys," Maggie said as I pulled my front door open. I turned around and found her standing there with a large grin on her face, my keys dangling from her finger.

"Right," I nodded my head, trying to calm myself down. I was freaking out about tonight. Not only because I was going to be around some really famous celebrities, but also because I was going to have to try and get the scoop on this band. I hated prying into people's personal lives; it made me feel like scum.

"I'll be waiting here for you!" Maggie called as I closed the door. I knew she meant well but she really was a sticky beak sometimes.

I left my apartment building and jumped into my silver Mini Cooper, thankful that it wasn't yet raining. I zipped through the streets of London, before arriving at the O2 Arena where the awards show was being held. I joined the long line of cars that were trying to park, showing my ticket to one of the men who was guiding the traffic. He nodded his head and pointed to somewhere in the car park, I tried to follow where he pointed and in the end gave up. I parked in the closest spot and pulled myself up out of my car.

I pulled my dress down, fixing the bunched up fabric, before I joined the crowd that was waiting to enter the area. It was obvious that I wasn't going to bump into the band here, I was waiting to go into the back entrance where all commoners entered.

Once I was at the front of the line and handing my ticket over, I felt a sense of calm wash over me. Realising that it was a once in a lifetime opportunity to come to one of these things, I had to make the most of it.

A lady directed me inside the arena and I found inside looked exactly how it would if I were going to a concert. The tiered seating was all around the room, packed full of fans, while the floor was cluttered with round tables for the celebrities to sit at. The lady directed me to a table that was near the middle of the round tables, and I was surprised I didn't have to sit up with the fans.
