These lyrics were based off the tragedy of family and friends losing a loved one who is a suicide victim. These lyrics are to represent how suicide affects the victim's loved ones and the negative consequences it has on everyone.
The victim may believe that no one would miss them if they were gone, but there are ALWAYS people who will miss them and NEED them.
