I slowly slid my hand out of Jihoon's and stood up, facing Joshua.
"We weren't holding hands." He looked at me like I was lying but he shrugged and sat down right between us while holding up the bag of food.
"Well I came because I heard you were sick and you know I can't let my loving Sookyung go without her favorite junk foods!" He smiled before taking out and listing everything he bought. Blabbing on and on about why he bought the food, he looked between us and slowly stopped talking but kept on staring.
"Am I talking too much? LOL I just had a can of Red Bull and now I feel so happy and hyper. Anyways, you guys should eat!" He nudged us both towards the food while he leaned back.
"Hyung are you not going to eat?" Jihoon asked with a concerned face while shoving multiple chips into his mouth. Joshua shook his head before turning his attention to the movie that was playing on the TV.
An hour past and we were stuffed to our tops. We all decided that we should go home even though I was at home and it was only them but I said bye anyways and waved as they left the house. A few minutes later, a car pulled up into the driveway and Auntie and everyone came out of the car. Jaehwan smiled and came over to me, touching my forehead to see if I still had a fever like in the morning. I smiled back at him and gave him a small hug before turning to Kyungsoo and giving him a giant hug.
"Noona are you okay?" I nodded and smiled, this one a little easier than usual. He smiled back in excitement as he saw my smile slowly returning.
"Are you really okay Sookyung-ah?" Jaehwan whispered to me. I nodded in respond before walking up to my room and deciding to sleep early since we had school tomorrow and I needed to work. I heard Jaehwan open the door, sitting next to me while I was sitting up on my bed with my back against the backboard.
"Hey Jaehwan?" The complete silence was broken between us.
"Yeah Sookyung?" He looked at me straight into my eyes and smiled while his eyes showed curiosity and worry at the same time. I traced my scars on my wrist and I smiled at them.
"I think I know why I did this to the precious body God gave to me. It was to take away the heart ache. It was a distraction. Something to help me think of anything else. But I don't want anyone to see them. I don't want them to look at me like I was toxic." Tears rolled down my cheek as I traced them one last time before hiding it under the covers. Jaehwan took my hand and turned it over, turning it to the side with the scars on the wrist. Kissing each and everyone of them, he murmured healing words and words that meant so much to me.
"Don't worry about it Sookyung. As long as at least one person doesn't care and loves you for who you are is there, you don't need to worry about that." I lifted up my head and looked straight into his eyes to see sincerity.
"But who would that be Jaehwan? No one likes me and thinks of me as a freak." He smiled a little bit and shrugged before standing up and walking to the door.
"It's me." I heard the faintest whisper as he walked out the door and closed the door.
