Chapter 4

-Jayden pov-
I finally got home from a long day at school. I have Niall for only two classes. I fall on my bed thinking about Niall. I can't get him out of my head. He is so sweet and I really want to be friends. But I just can't. He wanted to sit with me at lunch but Trevor asked him too. Niall did not want to sit with Trevor but I told him to, if he could be friends with Trevor he would be one of the most popular kids in school and that's what I want for him. I would do anything to protect Niall. Oh my, I sound like a character in a cheesy romantic movie. A couple minutes later my phone buzzes.
Random number: Hi!! It's Niall! Oops I mean your secret best friend
I smile. He actually texted me. I turn on my phone and quickly add him to "My secret best friend"
Me: hi Niall

Niall: you responded! I thought you were going to just read and ignore.

Me: the only reason I don't talk to you is to keep you safe. I don't want you to
get hurt Niall.

Niall: I can take care of myself Jade...
Can I call you Jade?

The name gives me goosebumps throughout my body.. I haven't heard that name in a while.

Me: yeah

Niall: ok.. Jade I can take care of myself. Niall begins to push me over my limit He doesn't understand the risks.
Me: you don't understand Niall! I am strong! And I will always be strong! They can't kill me or make me kill myself! And I don't want you to get bullied and suffer what I have to go through... Look I will make you a deal.

Niall: I am listening...

Me: I will hang out with you out of school. You can come over to my place whenever you want. But, you can't talk to me at school. Or can't post anything or a photo of me on social media okay? Niall reads the text and the little text bubble pops up and goes away for about five times. Finally he responds.
Niall: ok... Okay fine. Anything for u princess . Did he just call me princess? He just called me princess!

Me: Is that how the Irish flirt?

Niall: you know you love it.
Well to be honest I really do. No one has flirted with me in a while.

Me: okay Nialler I am going to bed it's ten and I am tired. Hey since it's Saturday tomorrow wanna come over? I hope he says yes...

~Niall pov~
I read her text like five times. She wants me to hang out with her at her house I quickly text her back

Me: Is you mum okay with that.

Jayden: Yeah... She won't mind. You're the first friend in years to come over so.

I can't imagine that. Not having any friends for a long time. It's heart breaking.

Me: oh... Okay what time?

Jayden: whenever

Me: ok.. Well gets some sleep Jade talk to you in the morning.

Jayden: okay bye much love.
Much love? WHAT DOES IT MEAN? Then my phone buzzes again. It's from her

Me: much love?

Jayden:  I meant to put it... But I like you as a friend lol.

I just got friend zoned.

Me: ok good night:).

She reads the text but doesn't reply. I wait for a little bit but still no answer.. Oh well I am really tired. I drift off to sleep thinking about her.
