**Luke's POV**

I woke up in my twin bed to a loud bang downstairs. It didn't sound too promising, so I quickly found a pair of shorts and slid them on. As I raced down the stairs, I was stopped short by my brother lying motionless on the hallway floor. I looked ahead to see the front door wide open. What the hell was going on? I quickly ran to Aiden's side and shook his shoulder's.

"Aiden! Wake up!" I screamed into his ears. He didn't wake up. But, he was still breathing. I silently prayed that he would be okay and ran for my phone. As I called 911, Skylar was standing in the doorway.

"What did you do to him?!" I hissed at her.

"Why do you suppose it was me? I was trying to fucking get the guy that did this! You're so clueless. We're in this together now. Whether you like it or not. It was your choice to run away from the business. But, you were too stupid to realize that they would make your life and other people's lives a living hell! You don't get it. They won't stop!" Skylar stormed out of the house and drove away. I was secretly hoping she would come back.

When the ambulance arrived, I was told to go to school by my parents. I was surprised that they bought my lie. I told them that Aiden slipped and hit his head on the ground, hard enough to knock him out. I could not let my parents know that a blood thirsty killer, or killers, came into our home. I was still awaiting that terrible day when the gang came for my parents. I quickly pushed the thought to the back of my mind and drove to school in silence. I then entered the school parking lot and hopped off of my bike.

"Hey!" I heard Ashley scream behind me and I smiled. After last night, my feelings for her resurfaced and I couldn't stop thinking about her. But, I knew she didn't feel the same way as I felt about her. It killed me, but like she said, it would take time. I respected her for that and I didn't interfere with her feelings.

"Hey, Sugar." I taunted her with the nickname that I created for her. Whenever I called her Sugar, she seemed to blush and get agitated. That made me happy, so I enjoyed calling her that.

"Stop. You know I hate when you call me that." She was so oblivious that that was the reason I always responded to her with that nickname.

"Okay. So, about last night. I'm really sorry. I ju-just didn't know what came over me and-"

"Luke, it's fine. You don't have to apology." She looked awkward and unsatisfied, so I took her into a strong embrace and squeezed her hard. I heard whispering all around me and a pair of heels clicking against the tiled floors, coming our way. Why did she always have to be here, breathing down my back whenever I was on campus?

"Oh Luke! Don't I get a hug?" Sasha squealed at me, the sarcastic comment dripping out of her mouth. I could feel Ashley tense up under me and I let her go, only to go talk some sense into this girl that won't leave me alone.

"Sasha. Get lost. I don't think anyone in these hallways wants to attract a familiar disease from you." She stared at me with utter shock and glared at me. I then turned towards the now-forming group of students around us.

"Oh, yeah. FYI to anyone that was hoping to get cozy with Sasha, make sure you do it with a protective suit. I don't think anyone wants to catch a raging itch disease. That was the one of the many reasons why I dumped her." I then turned back towards Sasha to see smoke coming out of her ears and her friends backing slowly away from her.

"I told you never to tell anyone!! I-I-" Sasha quickly sputtered staring at her peers. That was the day when Sasha Peterson went from Ms. Popular, to Ms. Get-Away-From-This-Girl.

I then happily turned towards Ashley to see her mouth hanging wide open. She looked hurt for a second, then turned around and quickly headed out of the school.
