Summer's Catch

Chapter 4

                                                                 Two weeks later

These were starting to come back to normal, dad doesn't have to leave until another two weeks, so he can help make new products to introduce to other countries. I haven't saw Jake since the night of the wedding and he is all I think about. Sara broke up with Jason, which isn't that big of a surprise they weren't that close anyway.

"Kate let's go to the mall and see if anyone attracting is their." Sara said

"Sara instead of the mall let's go to the pool, I need to get a tan anyway." Kate stated knowing Sara hates the smell of chlorine

"You know..."Sara was interrupted

"How the chlorine  smells, yes I know." Kate finished for her best fiend and they both started to laugh

Instead of going to the pool or the mall on a hot afternoon, they decide they haven't had ice cream in forever and want to take a walk and talk. After just ordering their ice cream they saw a what so familiar face...........Jake.

"Why is Jake running through the park?" Sara question in hesitation to her best friend

"I don't have the slightest idea." Kate was puzzled that Jake was running through the park, she had no idea he was a runner

"Do you know why he is in Dallas, Texas?" Sara asked hoping Kate would no the answer

"He said something about staying in town with his father for the summer." Kate stated still a little puzzled

"Kate do you like him, all you said was that he was hot ,but nothing else." Sara said waiting for an answer

"Kind of." Kate replied

"Well I like him to." Sara said

"What should we do then?" Kate asked

"I have a plan." Sara replied and dragged Kate to her house

Sara filled Kate in on the plan, that they do nothing and that he will make the decision. They are going back to central park and going to just run into him. As if they had no idea he was here.

Back at the park they notice Jake was still running, sot they were stretching as if they run through the park every day hoping that Jake would notice.

"Do you see him?" Kate asked  as they were jogging around the park

"No....wait they. Never mind that the garden boy." Sara aid tried and frustrated

After running the park and not saw him once they stopped running to go get something drink. Then headed for home

"Call me Kate." Sara yelled after leaving Kate's drive way

Knock-Knock

No one was home, so I went to answer the door and their stood Jake.

"How do you no where I live, are you stocking me or something." Kate asked waiting for an answer

"I had no idea you lived he I was supposed to deliver this package." Jake replied

"Nice excuse, but if you start to follow me I might get a little suspicious." Kate stated with a smirk

"Well the next place I will be 14 Oak drive and that my house and I will get suspicious if you show up their." Jake replied

"See you around...........maybe." Kate hesitated

"Sure and I saw you and Sara running in the park today." Jake said

" You were in the park?" Kate replied acting as if she never saw him

"Yep and do you want to catch a movie and dinner tonight?" Jake asked hopping for an answer that is yes

"What just about dinner around six." Kate hopping say's yes about the quick rearrangement

"See you than." Jake said

As Jake was walking down the spiraling sidewalk Kate notice that he might be interested in her.
