A Place in This World (Kaylor AU)

Chapter 1

Taylor Swift: A 20 year old struggling musician in New York City, and works at a small cafe, that her friend, Ed owns. Her parents died when she was 6 years old, causing her to be thrown into the foster care system and grow up with out any real family. Because of financial troubles, she is forced to live with her boyfriend, Clavin Harris, in his apartment in Brooklyn.

Karlie Kloss: The 23 year old CFO of Delevingne Insurance Co., a large insurance company based out of New York. She works on the 81st floor of the One World Trade Center. She currently lives in an apartment in Battery Park right on the Houston River and next to Pier 25.

"Ugh, I can't believe this is happening right now!" Karlie screamed as she slammed her car door shut. Slowly walking over to the passenger side as she braced her self to see how bad the damage was. The engine was smoking and had a huge dent as the street lamp did not move an inch.

She walked back into her car to grab her phone. She scrolled through her contacts until she found the right person.

"What's up Karlie, did you make it back from your parents okay?"

"Hey Lily, can you pick me up I fought a pole with my car and my car lost. I'm somewhere in Brooklyn, not sure where exactly. Let me go find out."

"Oh my god Karlie are you alright?!"

"Yeah I'm fine, but my car is totaled."

"Okay good. Listen I wish I could help you out but I'm in Florida this weekend remember? Just take a cab or something back into Manhattan."

"Ughh, I totally forgot about that." Karlie sighed as she mentally face palmed herself. "Okay, I'll call someone to tow it and take a cab back."

"Okay goodbye. Stay safe Kar."

"Taylor, we're gunna close early today, okay?" Her boss, Ed, shouted across the cafe.

"Okay, Ed that's great." Taylor shouted back while serving a customer at the cash register.

She thought it would a be nice surprise for her boyfriend, Calvin, by coming home early. It was there one year anniversary after all.

It was around 3 in the afternoon when Taylor got back home, as opposed to her normal 8-5 shift. She walked up the steps to open the door and took out her key.

"Hey baby, I'm ho-" she couldn't believe what she saw right in front of her. He was right in the middle of having sex with another girl on the living room couch.

"Holy shit Taylor, what are you doing here early!" Calvin screamed.

"I thought you said you were single!!" Whispered the young girl below him.

"I got off work early, and I though it would be a nice surprise to come home
early on our one year anniversary, but it seams you weren't missing me much, were you!" Taylor shouted.

"Dianna, I think you should go." Calvin said quietly. She threw on all her clothes in a rush as Taylor had her back turned to the both of them with tears running down her cheek. Dianna quickly walked out the door as she whispered "I'm sorry" to Taylor.

After she left, Taylor turned back to Calvin. "How long?" She whispered, her voice stuttering.

"What?" Calvin asked.

"Don't play dumb with me Calvin." Taylor screamed. "HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN FUCKING HER?!"

"4 months." He said quietly.

"4 MONTHS! ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!" Taylor screamed more as tears streamed down her face. "I'm leaving."

"Tay, wait just let me explain." Calvin ran up and grabbed her qarm as she turned to walked out the door.

Taylor quickly turned around and as the back of her hand quickly found its way to his face. "Don't you dare call me 'Tay' ever again. And there is nothing for you to explain, you have been fucking another girl for 4 months behind my back, you're just another asshole like the rest of them."

Karlie was sitting there playing Candy Crush, waiting for the tow truck to come and get her car.

"Taylor wait!" She heard some person scream.

"FUCK YOU CALVIN, FUCK DIANNA, AND FUCK THIS APARTMENT!" A young blonde woman flipped out as she threw a pair of keys, probably to the apartment, at the man.

The girl came walking down and sat down on the curb and began to bawl her eyes out. Karlie immediately felt sorrow and walked over to her.

"Hey, are you okay?" Karlie came up and sat next to her.

"Nooo, I'm fine, I just found out today, on our one year anniversary, that my boyfriend has been cheating on me for 1 month." She said. "Taylor Swift." She stuck out her hand with a slight sad smile.

"Karlie Kloss."
