A/N: unedited just so you guys know
Taylor took out her phone and called Ed, to see if she could stay at his apartment. The phone kept ringing, but he still hasn't answered. She ended the call with a sigh and tried calling him again. No answer for a second time. "Ugh shit, I have no where to stay." Taylor said to Karlie in desperation, hoping that she would offer her a place to stay.
"Hey, you can stay with me for the night until you get a place to stay." Karlie offered.
"Really?" Taylor perked up. "How do you know I'm not like a murderer, psychopath, or something like that?"
"I think if you were a murder, you would've killed you by now, and I feel like your a good person." Karlie said with a smile on her face.
"Well thank you for the offer to stay at your place."
"It's no problem, I have a spare bedroom and no roommate, so it would be good to have some company for the night."
"Okay so when do we leave?" Taylor stood up and patted her sides awkwardly.
"Ohh, sooo about that..." Karlie said while Taylor gave her a curious look. "That's my car there." She pointed to the car smashed into the pole and Taylor's eyes went wide."Oh my god! Are you okay?!"
"I'm fine, just a couple bruises."
"Well, that's good. Umm where do you live anyway." Taylor asks.
"Oh uhhh Battery Park City, in Manhattan."
"So I guess that means we take the subway then." Taylor said with a half smile.
"Yeah, I'm just waiting for tow truck to come." Karlie sighed "Where ever it is."
"Okay, I'll wait with you." Taylor sat down on the curb and just broke down from the earlier events that happened with Calvin. Karlie saw her but felt a bit awkward and didn't know what to do. Ignoring the fact that they were complete strangers, she put her arm around Taylor and began to rub circles on her back. "Hey it'll be all okay."
"I thought he loved me." Taylor cried out. "How could I not have found out that he was cheating on me for 4 months."
"Hey listen, he's just a dick. Don't keep yourself held up on him, I haven't known you long but I can already say that you deserve so much better than him, and should be happy.
Taylor brushes her hair behind her ear as she raises her head to look at Karlie. "You really think so?" Karlie strained her back and said with a strong voice. "I know so."
"Thank you." Taylor smiled at Karlie. Karlie then stood up as she saw the tow truck turn onto the street they were on.

"No Taylor, that's the green line." Karlie laughed as she grabbed Taylor's hand. God, her hand fits perfectly in mine. Knock it off, she's straight and just broke up with her boyfriend.
"Karlie!" Taylor shouted. "Huh? What?" Karlie shook her head.
"You just stopped right here, after you grabbed my hand." Taylor said looking up into her eyes for the first time. Wow those eyes, they're so green. "Oh sorry I just got lost in my thoughts. Anyway we have to go to the red line."
Both girls were huddled together amongst the masses of people in the subway station waiting for the train to arrive. A loud screech could be heard through the tunnels as the train pulled up and came to a stop. Taylor held Karlie's hand tight in fear of getting lost in the crowd.
"So where are you gunna go after tonight?" Karlie asked Taylor. "Um I don't really know. Maybe my friend and can offer me a place to stay, but besides that I have no where in the world to go."
"What about your parents?" Karlie questions and Taylor's smile disappeared. "They died when I was a kid."
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry! I didn't know!" Karlie apologized.
"It's fine, it's just that I practically had to do everything on my own for my whole life. It's been hard to get money, so I never went to college. I've always had to stay with a friend or someone else."
"Wow, I couldn't even imagine what that would be like, I've always had my family beside me in every step of my life, I probably wouldn't even be here talking to you now if it wasn't for them."
*Next stop Chamber Street*
"Well that's our stop." Karlie said as she reached for Taylor's hand. Taylor took it and began to follow Karlie through the station.
"Okay so we are still a few streets from my apartment, I'll just get a cab." Karlie told Taylor who shook her head.
The two of them walked up into the fresh autumn air and Taylor immediately shivered. Karlie noticed this and gave her her coat. "You didn't have to do that."
"But I wanted to." Karlie countered. "Well let's go hail a cab.
