Upside Down(Preview! Should I?)

Here's some backstory:
You got in a huge breakup with your boyfriend of 2 years. Things were REALLY bad. Long story short, you had to call the police on him TWICE, and he.. Just didn't handle a breakup like it should have been handled. This guy will be titled as E/N(Ex Name). If you don't have an ex, you can put one of your ex crushes in here.
Your crush, well... He just happened to be one of your Ex's best friends. He's as close as it gets to perfection, in your eyes, and you are most likely not the only one that thinks that. The problem is that you have no idea what he thinks of you. Your ex undoubtedly ranted to him about how you are the bad guy because you broke up with him, which obviously wouldn't bring up very good thoughts to you. So, while this guy may absolutely despise you, your god damn feelings keep you attached to him, even though you know you have no chance with him and he most likely hates you. So, while that floats around, you have little hints here and there. You make eye contact a lot, and out of your perriferal you see him looking at you for a few seconds, then looking away. You both make small gestures that may give away feelings the other may have...
There's one question that floats around.

Does he like you back?

This? This is my life. I wish I was joking...
